Kate suggested that I ask for your help. A friend is considering adopting a rescue bulldog with spina bifida and would like more info on what to expect. She understands that the diaper issue will be life-long and is OK with that. She would like to know about life expectancy, long-term medical costs, and and other associated medical problems. The dog apparently has full mobility (for now), plays and is affectionate. Any help you could give would be appreciated. Please post here or email me privately. Thanks a bunch! Linda
A couple on her leg, and a few on her tummy, the ones on the tummy look like human pimples and have started to go away, the ones on her leg are little versions of the ones that are usually around the bullys chin, is this normal also?
Thanks,
Emily
My day is not going fast enough. All I keep thinking about is Cody. I do want to say that all the bullies that have been sick, that are sick, and that are in rescue care right now are also in my thoughts. With all of the wonderful people out there, we are making a difference in these bullies lives!
I've just been using the search, pulling up all the old posts on BARF because I want to start giving Grover some raw meat and also see if I can get a bone from a butcher somewhere for his two year homecoming party. (I'm a dork.) Just brushing up on my BARF info.
Anyway, back in December, you replied to a post of mine saying you would post some "Before and After" poop pics! Did you ever post them? Did I miss them?!
Hi ya'all I thought I should give you an update on your donations...
the total right now including checks, that I know the amounts on ,which I will cover till they get here..and the ones that have arrived...is
total $1,240.63
Cody cost 1,000.00 (down from 1500.00 both costs
completely absurd!)
Everyone,
I'm amazed and proud of all the love that came together to give Cody a home. Over a grand in just a few days is amazing and you should all feel proud.
420' tall, 17 second drop to the bottom and it's over.
4 hour wait ... potty passes being issued so folks don't lose their place in line!
Short update regarding my Abbey, whose lineage is unclear at this point. For those of you who didn't see her picture, she's a cute pork chop but has a tail that looks docked. Abbey was sold to me as AKC registered, but I haven't received them yet.
Just let Boo out for a walk in the backyard. When I went to bring her back in, I noticed she had a frog between her paws. I had to struggle with her to get her away. But about a minute or two after we came back in, she started shaking her head a lot, then foaming at the mouth quite a bit. I grabbed some towels and quickly wiped off the foam and wiped off her tongue. She seems okay now, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had an experience like this before. Thanx.
