Abbey Update

Short update regarding my Abbey, whose lineage is unclear at this point. For those of you who didn't see her picture, she's a cute pork chop but has a tail that looks docked. Abbey was sold to me as AKC registered, but I haven't received them yet.

Well, I did get a hold of the lady that sold her to me and she insists Abbey is 100% bullie, the papers were promised to her from AKC "within two weeks", she's hurt that I would doubt her and she stands by her puppies. She said she didn't dock her tail, I can't remember what the other puppies tails looked like.

I just surfed the internet and found one form of a FAULTY tail on a bulldog is called a "gay" tail. Hmm. Should have named her Gay. Anyway, it can come from dogs bred from those with screw tails. They stick straight up like Abbey's.

I love everyone here, and I thank everyone for their support. Time will tell (whether I get the papers or not) and I'll be posting pics of Abbey as she grows, cuz she's got bullie in her, it's just a matter of how much! Thanks everyone!!!

BCA or Local Club

Be honest with me here, you think they would look down on us cuz Abbey either has a docked tail or mixed?

What do they do?

I'd love to join one.

Yipeeee glad you and Abbey are staying

looking forward to more pics of the little pork chop.

YAY!!!!!

I am glad you are gonna stay. We love Abbey

Bullie Tail

Our last bulldog had a tail pretty similar to your Abby's and she was also taller and thiner with a longer snout than our first bulldog. We always thought she was part boxer too. But I have to tell you she very definitely had the bulldog personality. We had her for 11 years and just last year lost her. She was one of the best dogs we had. We have a pup (8 months old) now and are realizing again what a good dog she was, but we do love our Annie.

Abbey the sweetie

First off - kisses to your pork chop!

I went back and looked at the pic again. I still say it is docked. It doesn't matter, but I think she may not be telling you the truth.................

Just be aware that some people lie....I wouldn't be telling you this if it hadn't happenned to me.

Why not join a bulldog club in your area? BCA or a local club? You will have tons of fun and meet people with similar interests. I also think that you would meet some people who could take a look at Abbey and tell you their more educated opinion ifyou really wanna know.

Post more pics - action photos!!!! She has beautiful coloring!

Kris

Yea!...Glad to see your gonna stay =)

Can't wait to see more pics of your sweet baby girl!

Try it

Go to a meeting (without Abbey) talk about her and see what they say.

If they are jerks - then you wouldn't have liked it anyways!

Kris

I just went back and saw her. She is so sweet

Please don't leave the board. These are some fun people and very informative. Please keep us posted on her growth.

welcome to you and abbey..

we are happy to have you here..everyone here is just wonderful---heck they even love to see pictures of my Bullmastiff...I guess we all here just love BULL

Welcome..

And glad you are staying. Abbey is a beautiful girl.

Welcome Stacey, we're happy to have you! =)

But I really do hope you pursue things with your breeder if you don't receive those AKC papers. I know you said she sounds hurt, and hopefully she really is (that sounds awful, doesn't it?) but I would hate it if she was just playing you - she might just do it to the next person, if you don't start things in motion.

But, I'm looking on the bright side and hoping you get those papers because Abbey is a cutie! Who knows, she might be the straightest tailed English bully ever! Whatever the case, she's adorable and we can't wait to see more pics.
