O.K. I wanted to take my female to a show next month but the more I work with her the worse she gets. When I put her on a table she never has four feet on the table at the same time!! I work her about 10 mins at a time multiple times a day. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also I would like everyones oppinion on her.
Thanks
I know that every dog and every line is different, but I was just wondering how long it took before your male dogs were completely filled out? At what age were they pretty much done growing - tall and wide. My puppy is 9 months, and I know that he has a ways to go. Were there any specific ages that you saw your dogs hit significant growth spurts? Were there heads the last thing to fill out?
Tacked on Shoulder of the Bulldog
My mentor Florence Savage told me there was a reason the bulldogs shoulders were tacked on. During the days of bull baiting the bulldog crawled across the arena to sneak up on the bull this was a good distance , they did not want the shoulders of a working or sporting dog as the dog would tire very easily and by having the shoulders tacked on he could do this job with great ease.
Good Luck to everyone showing this weekend!!

If you have not made your hotel reservation yet, please do so. The hotel room block is filling up fast and we will need to extend the block so that our exhibitors get the special rate and also a room in the Host hotel. Also keep in mind with the all breed pre-shows, others may book at our Host hotel as well. For those that missed the pre-show information. These shows are to be held at the Reading Expo Center, approx. 5 mi. from our Host hotel. These are AB shows, with 3 days of supported entries,2 days of sweepstakes and a specialty, all with breeder judges.
Cathy Thank you for the very special gift in Parker. She will be loved and taken very good care of.

Before I was a member of this site and just browsing (this was at least a year ago, probably closer to 2) I downloaded a PDF about breeding bulldogs. It was really informative and went over everything... I must have gotten rid of it on my computer and I want to re-read it...
Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I'm really not even sure if it was from this site, I think it was written by an experienced breeder... like I said, very informative. I had a friend breeding her bulldog and found the pdf for her.
