we still don't really know what it is..the vet aspirated it twice..and nothing bad was in it..they ran tests on the fluid and blood...
..it seems abit smaller ..but it is on the left side of his jaw line and goes a bit under the chin..sorted shaped like a fat banana...
the vet seems to think it may be a salvitory(SP?) gland that the duck is closed....they don't think it's life threatening...or even painful...I don't know how it couldn't be..it's huge...
it's soft and movable...

So Gracie developed a cherry eye last Wednesday that resolved itself, then again Thursday and it again resolved itself, then Friday, and she's still got it today. Rene took her to the vet on Saturday, and we're trying an anti-inflammatory ointment in conjunction with an oral antihistamine. It doesn't seem to be helping after 3 days, and the vet said she would refer us to an opthamologist for surgical correction. The thing is, it sounded like she said the current "state-of-the-art" is removal and replacement of the gland.
