..and because we are gluttons for punishment, here is our new litter (3 weeks old). This is more puppies than I have had in 10 years combined! I never thought in a million years that three bitches would even get pregnant, let alone have actually litters, not singletons, as was the norm for us for so long.
This is our first Armani litter.

rabies shot..

I know I should post this in the health forum, but I'm lazy and tend to come right here..
Anyway, at what age do you first give a rabies shot? One of our puppy buyers told me their vet wants to give it at 12 weeks. This is way younger than I have ever given it. We usually wait until 6 months.

We can't make up our minds either...

Some of the kids are with their new families. These are the ones we just can't seem to let go to pet homes..lol
Not sure yet who we are keeping.

Does Show Potential Equal Less Healthy?

This will probably be a good topic for debate, as it's been coming up alot in conversations I have been having with local bulldog owners, and vets in my area.

There seems to be this misconception that bulldogs bred for show are less healthy than ones that aren't.

The analogy that I have been given is a longer snout is better for breathing, longer legs, longer neck, and the overall health of the dog isn't being compensated by the desire to "look" identical to a standard that may be detrimental to health.

the pups at 7 weeks

Well it looks like these 3 will be ours...I am having a tough time decideing between the two girls..
