in our house, lol! She is the youngest child, turning 3 in April and came to us when I lost my best friend and the love of my life.
The bulldog love affair began in 1995 when I babysat a bulldog named Bandit for a friend and I guess I didn't stop talking about him. So, a co-worker found a litter of puppies and she didn't give up until I agreed to go look at them. Well you can't possibly look at bulldog puppies and not have one weasle their way into your lap and heart. That was Norbert who I lost almost 3 years ago, he was 11 1/2. Norbert became a world traveler, a horse show mascot and an avid boater in those 11 1/2 years. When Norbert was 7 we brought brother MacKenzie home and then Cleo came along 2 years later.
I grew up in a dog household as my father was a professional handler back in the 70's. He earned a living as a history teacher and spent his weekends running to dog shows. We raised Dobermen and then later English Springer Spaniels.
I showed dogs in 4H as well as Jr. handling at the all-breed shows. But my real passion was my horses and I showed for 30+ years on a national and world level receiving several national titles. I also had the opportunity to raise foals and one of my National winning horses was a result of my breeding, having bred and raised her mother.
I currently dabble in showing the bulldogs. Ester is major pointed and 1/2 way to her Champion title and prior to Cleo having some major health issues she earned 6 points.
I'm retired with 28 years from Bank of America and Banc of America Investments and hold my Series 7 and 63 Investment Registrations. I work full time managing the office of a very successful financial advisor as his registered assistant.
Both my husband and I married late in life (no 2 legged children) at age 46 and we will be celebrating our 5th anniversary later this month and have been together for 10 years.
We enjoy vacationing together and until this past winter have been avid snowmobilers. We have a boat and enjoy boating and fishing, especially off the Canadian westcoast shores around Ucluelet, BC as well as the eastern side of Vancouver Island and the incredible Telegraph Cove, world famous for whale watching. This year we are taking up a new summer hobby (I'll share more about this later). In my spare time (yeah right) I do alot of home projects, currently redoing the deck railing on our front porch and have a huge list of continuing projects. I enjoy sewing and machine embroidery and snuggling with the dogs and if I was retired I would have a lot more time to do alot of other stuff I enjoy.
10 more years to retirement....can you tell I'm counting it down.

Gary, yes, Mugzy & Tillie were really inseperable... they cuddled and snuggled with eachother all the time. From the moment they met too. Tillie was always the more energetic of the two, we'd call them 'Curious and Content.' Tillie loved to go for romps outside, Muzgy would go for a stroll... He'd raise an eyebrow at you when you talked, while her ears perked right up, ready for anything.
I don't have lots of pictures scanned from that time, and I seriously need to do that, but here are a few more of two of the biggest pieces of my heart... ( I don't know WHY in each picture their nails are so horribly long... my gosh they look like daggers!)
