Just noticed that Gladys has a quarter size hot spot on her neck. I noticed that her sister had been licking her for a bit and went to see why she was so busy grooming her sister. Imagine my surprise ! She has never had a hot spot before !! Seems like since having puppies she's had a few skin issues (foliculitous sp ?)
What is better to use - the gentocin spray or the gold bond/listerine. Also what kind of gold bond do you use & listerine (yellow) ???
Need to get cleared up as Nationals are just a month away !!
O.K., here it goes, yesterday I adopted a boy Schnoodle (schnauzer/poodle mix) from the shelter. He is 7 months old and very calm. The thing is that Jade is in heat and of course she has been acting too excited around him. I have kept them separated and have not interact because of her being in heat right now and because I want "Bruno" to settle and feel more comfortable.
I have a 15 day old bulldog puppy that was brought to the vet on friday. she was breathing very heavy and not eating. I was told at the vet that she had Aspiration pneumonia. they gave her two injections of an antibiotic and also put her on Clavamox. She does seem to not be breathing heavy anymore and appeared to be better. My concerns are she does not seem to be eating enough still at all. also she has not pooped in two days. Is this normal and does anyone have any sugestions on how to get her to eat. i have even tried bottle feeding her.
does anyone have experience with which one one is better for treating demodex & the least messy? cooper has demodex on his cheek & if i put anything on it, he rubs it everywhere. is one less oily or greasy than the other? i also read that goodwinol can stain light surfaces- anyone know anything about that? i want to try one of these, but not sure which one. thanks for any advise!
Hello, my female Bully is 6 months old and I have noticed that she is starting to lose fur (which I found strange since the weather is getting colder and we are heading into winter). She also has been chewing at her front paws at times and is getting what looks like pimples on her belly and inner thighs. She also has a black tar like substance around her nipples, vagina, and her belly. I don't know what could be the problem, but I really want to help her and get her better.
My 9 month old English bulldog Zetty, has a skin issue that doesn's seem to be getting better, Am planning on getting him to the vet this week if possibe, but wanted to know if anyone had any ideas what this is and what it make take to take care of it. It is not really red, more puffy white around the center which is yellowing. The hair in this area looks hard close to the skin. Can add other photos of any angle that may help. Any info you have would be great, Thanks in advance
Rhett
or does it have to be mineral oil?
He seems a little congested, nothing horrible but he's a little
boogery, his eyes are gooey too with a greenish discharge.
He's eating fine and otherwise seems like himself
except for the congestion. This has been going on for a few days and doesn't
seem to be improving, his symptoms are lingering.
I wouldn't mind starting him on an antibiotic until I get a hold of the vet
and was wondering if I could give him amoxicillin and if so what is the dosage recommended.
Ozzy weighs 65 lbs.
What is the best food to feed a bulldog with skin allergies?
does anyone have the doses for amoxicillin for 3 day old pups. I have a couple with stuffy noses and if not better wabt to start on the anox elixer. I have a sm bottle 50mg per ml.
