Dear all,
Kibby just stole a fried chicken wing (wing+ wing tip) from my 2 year old nephew who was walking around holding it ! At least I saw her chew it for about 5-6 seconds before swallowing it, I ran across the room, but she swallowed before I could get it out of her mouth... but knowing kibby , she probably didn't break it up too much since her she usually just swallows her food. She is a small framed bully, girl, 5years old, about 50 lbs.
I wipe my bullie's face twice a day (or as needed) and I'm noticing that he's getting bald patches in his tear stains... is this normal? Is this irreversible? If not, iss there something that can be done about regrowth?
Thanks!
I sent Royal Canin..a message. just because of the difference in Bella and her fur and so on. she does amazing on this dogfood. as does Gus.
they sent me two coupons for 4 dollars each..for the next 2 bags of dogfood that I buy
you have to send them a photo of your bully to put on their success board..
they also sent some cool info on the Bulldog 24 dogfood and how it relates to the bully and so on. great info for anyone that contacts them.
I for one am sold on the dogfood.
I have had amazing results..
Belle has completed her 5th week of pregnancy, she is due Nov 21st. Up until now she been fed a mixture of TOTW (venison) and Diamond Lamb and Rice (no chicken, corn or grain). I have given her about 1 cup of Diamond Puppy food with her kibble as well.
She also gets, 1 Pet tab plus and a folic acid/day.
Last week, we started giving her a little hamburger(browned with fat left in) as a snack, between feedings.
I have noticed that Gus is slowing down alot lately.
just happy to laze around and take life in stride
he used to be a really really active bully but seems since he hit 2 years old..
he is really slowing down.
what is the norm for this to happen.
Bella is 3 and there is nothing stopping her..lol. she is very active.
does it depend on the bully? maybe some genetics play a part too. Both Bellas parents are extremely active.
So this morning our 9 month old baby Winston was having lots of trouble breathing. He kept coughing and sounded very gargley. Then all of the sudden he would not open his mouth, was breathing very hard and his whole body was trembling. I called the vet and they had me bring him right in.
They said he needs to have palette surgery. We will not be able to have it done until next week along with neutering. So does anyone have any ideas on how to keep him comfortable until then? Or has your bulldog had this surgery? Any hints on what to expect?
My friend Ellen told me about this ointment. A friend of mines Bulldog had one of these cyst on his foot and was taken to vet with no sucess. The ointment is called Ichthammol ointment by Goldline she got it at CVS pharamacy. She put it on a gauze pad wraped the foot up with tape put a sock over it and put tape around it so dog could not get off you are to leave on 24hrs to 48 hrs. She removed it in 24 and it opened up and blood drained out in her case it looked like maybe part of a foxtail might have been in it. I do know they carry it in horse suppy places.
A couple of days ago, I posted a message asking if anyone knew of a connection between vaccinations and gastroenteritis. Thanks to all who responded. At the same time, I left a voicemail for the vet at the University of Penn who diagnosed Bully's tail problem a couple of years ago.
I just noticed a large mass on Gunther's chest. It may be a pimple, or a boil, I'm not sure. It feels like it is in the skin and not attached to the muscle. It may of gotten a touch bigger or harder than it was a few days ago.
Any idea what this may be? Should I take him to the vet, or try something at home first? My first instinct is it's a large pimple or boil. When I separate the fur to try to look at it, I don't see much. Not much of a change in colour or anything, so I am just not sure.
