good healthy treats for bullies? looking for suggestions

I am in the process of changing my own eating patterns. I have really got a taste for fruit and veggies these days.
been trying some of them on the bullies..and most of them they will try..
do not feed grapes..or raisins

what kind of healthy treats do you feed your bullies?

lots of good dry ones out there on the market...but never tried any of them with much success. marrow bones are the only ones that Gus will even look at so far.

they do get big knuckle bones with marrow though on occasion.

Cherry Eye?? oh no...

Nugget is our 4 month old sweetie...She woke up this morning with what I suspect is cherry eye..in her right eye...we are seeing our vet monday and asking for a referral to an opthamologist...I am wondering
1. what you guys think about the conjunctival mucous pocket procedure?
2. Should we wait until she is old enough to be spayed so that we can do both procedures at once?

Arthritis and sunbathing

Since the weather has gotten a little cooler here in Texas, our 8 year old Spanky INSISTS on sunbathing. He will give me headbutts, loud barks and growels for an hour or more in an attempt to manipulate me into letting him out to lie in the sun. When I take him out, he is on a leash and lays down in a sunny spot in the grass right beside me on the patio.

atopic dermatitis

took rocky to the vet today, he has atopic dermatitis, he has been given an injection and some abs for the next 30 days, my Vet who I love would like me to put Rocky on a allergy medicine called atipica it is quite expensive to start - 200.00 for the first month and then the dose is decreased by half 100.00 and then depending how well rocky does he may only have a dose every other day or every 3 days??? has anybody else used this or heard of it.

Loosing spots of fur

Hi !
I have a an 18month old female bulldog. Most recently about 2weeks ago I noticed that she had a few spots of fur missing now I am noticing that it is slowly getting more numerous and one spot is bigger and the skin is irritated. About 1month ago I put her on Royal canin bulldog food. I dont know if this could be a food allergy or maybe a seasonal allergy or something else. I included 2 pictures, If anyone has ever seen this or has any advice I would truly appreciate you input. Thanks.

Itchy Rash after wearing e-collar for two weeks help!!!!

Rocco just has had his stitches removed from his surgery and was able for the first time in two weeks to walk around without his e-collar. Now I have noticed that he is constantly itching his neck/throat...
He seems to have a rash that goes all the way down to the beginning to his chest.... It also had a yucky smell to it. He is itching it bloody (literally). What can I do??? Of course this has to happen on a weekend!!! Dang!

NO CANCER!

I posted last week about Gunther having a boil that the vet thought was a mast cell tumor. Well they removed it, and the pathology showed no cancer! The vet said they didn't really know what caused it, but it was some sort of imflammatory tissue, but there was no mast cell tumor or cancer cells.

Something like that. hard to understand, but I heard NO CANCER!

You guys were so supportive! Thank you!

Vaginitis after mating

Hi all

I mated my bitch 11 days ago and yesterday I noticed a snot green discharge from her vulva so I raced her to my vet who diagnosed Vaginitis and has put her on Noroclav.

I just wondered if anyone else had experienced this and whether your bitch had still conceived or whether I can be pretty sure we won't be having any puppies.

Thanks in advance
Louise

GUS has to spend the day at the VET....

Well Gus is going to go the vet next week for the day. NOT cause he is sick but so they can observe him in his actions.
being deaf, the vet is writing a paper here and wants to watch how Gus behaves and so on.
she thinks too many dogs that are deaf end up in shelters..because people think the dog is not obedient and such... they will try different things with him and watch the hand signs that he knows too.
so he is the study material for the day..lol
