My girl Belle is prenant with her first litter. She is 46 days from ovulation, 44 days from first breeding and 42 days from last breeding.
She has gained 10lbs, and I have noticed that her back teats look shiny. She has gained more than 7 inches in diameter around her belly. I am concerned that she might be developing water puppies. She has always drank more water than my other dogs prior to being pregnant, but I don't believe that she is drinking more than her norm.
I took Bella in to be weighed the other day.
she is 20 kgs so that is about 44 pounds..
she was 23 kgs so that is almost 48 pounds in the spring
the vet WANTS her weighed maintained. she is at her ideal weight
well the problem comes in that she is really playing these days
outside lots with her teaser ball..lol and so on
plays with the pugs all day too..
she is still eating the same amount of food...
do I try to increase her food to keep her from loosing anymore..
Rececently I noticed some bumps on the back of Gertrude's hind legs. SHe will be 7 in December. I did a search and it scared the hell out of me because everything was related to lyphomia and cancer. It could be something else, right? It has to be something else. I'm positive it's something else - does anyone know what?
Hi All
Just wondering if expressing anal glads is something that is supposed to be done as a matter of course, or only if there seems to be an issue.
I have a 2 and a half year old female bulldog named Henna who has recently decided to try to irriate the hell out of me (I know not on purpose though). For the first yearish we crated her during the day while we were at work and I would come home during my lunch break to let her out and take her on a short walk. She slept on our bed throughout the night. Last November my husband started working nights so we stopped crating her as much since he was home all day.
report says "recurrent history of cystitus associated with calculi of mixed origin (urate and magnesium ammonium phosphate)"
Anyone ever deal with this successfully?
He started with Hills KD then switched to CD (not sure why).
Our female American bulldog can go approx two weeks between baths (unless she gets into something:) ) Our male English seems to start to stink about 3 days after a bath. We bath him with an oatmeal shampoo by DAVIS. I have been fishing around on the internet and think that he may have canine seborrhea according to the symptoms they have listed. Has anyone ever had to deal with this before or have any suggestions. We are going to make him a vet appointment of course, but any input is much appreciated.
Hi my one older bullie had just developed one of these yesterday. I know with his previous owners he had surgery and has lots of scar tissue from them before. It is about the size of half of olive on the top part of the ear. My vet has done draining on other dogs but says that they always refill and he recommends surgery. What has worked for any of you other than surgery?? Please let me know... I appreciate it...
My bully has been vomitting for the past few days and I thought it was the stomach flu. He eats and play normally nothing, just would vomit in the middle of the night after he was fed around 830pm. he doesn't really eat in the morning besides eating off the boiled chicken in his bowl and leaving his food. So I was thinking that it could be the new bag of Orijen that I just purchased because all of this vomitting started when I fed him from this bag.
