finally a treat for Gus. I bought some dehydrated...beef strips..he loved them. yes finally. I bought them at a bulk store and they are 100% beef.
wander how hard it is to dehydrate my own beef..or other things??? anyone tried to do this??
I wander though if buying the beef, then cutting it up and then so on.if you would actually save any money in the long run.
I can see it being a very healthy treat for Gus though...
Rufus is a 4 year old english bully, about 45 lbs. Starting about two weeks ago he has been limping on his back right leg. It comes and goes, always worse on the weekend when he is up and about a lot. I havent brought him to the vet because nothing is bulging and he lets us touch and message the entire hip/leg/ankle area without problems. He doesnt wince with pain or even flinch, I am even questioning if he might have some kind of splinter on his foot.
we are excited to say that are three week old puppies are healthy walkiing and eager to eat are doing well.
my question is when can we start giving them food to eat? i had my finger by ones mouth this morning and felt lil teeth comming in !!!
Mom is still feeding them every four hours and they are all eating well popping and going potty so i know they are not starving but was just wondering what some of you do?
thanks
There are so many things suggested for keeping a bulldogs nose "soft" and not dry or scaly. I wanted to share my favorite... chapstick. I use the plain original formula. As it is in stick form, it is easy to apply and since it can go on my mouth, I have no problems using it on Chloe's nose :0) At first she would run and "wipe" it on anything available (carpet, bedspread, sofa... little stinker!) but now, when she sees me get it out of her "makeup bag" LOL, she just sits patiently waiting for her "treatment".
Has anyone had any problems getting their bully to drink? My daughters girl won't drink for nothing. She had blood work done and they said that she has to get her to drink to get her kidneys functioning again. We've tried broth, and pedialyte to no avail,. Any suggestions would help.
Thanks
Roanne
this JUST appeared. Since this pic I used a baby wipe, nothing came off onto it. Kinda scared....

My female bulldog, Mocha, has these big bumps on her ankles. She is a little over one year old. I rescued her 3 months ago so I don't know if she's had them since she was born or not. They don't seem to bother her. She walks fine and sometimes runs when she's in the mood but occasionally temporarily limps a bit when she gets up from sleeping for a long period of time. I've never seen this with any other bully as magnified as on my Mocha. Have any of you seen this before? Is it anything to be concerned about?
Thank you
I have had dogs for all my life and I am way to old to tell you.....lol
this is the first time that ONE of my dogs confirmed positive for the whipworm.
what causes them??
all the dogs need to be treated according to the vet. likely less expensive them taking in feccels for 5 dogs..so just going to go and treat them all...
but what causes them??
the dog that tested positive is not a bully..but bullies get treated too
the vet said one time now and in another month they all get treated again
Hi-
