Hi Bullie Lovers!
I am looking to receive advice as to how to choose a trustworthy breeder. Any insight you can share would be great!
What are red flags that a breeder is not reputable? What are some things in the puppy that we should look out for? What kind of guarantees or warranties for health should be included and what should we be skeptical of?
Any resources, advice, recommendations, or information that would be useful or helpful for a new bulldog owner would be appreciated!
Looking forward to hearing from you :)
My Dooley boy who just turned 5 died after a teeth cleaning and extractions. He made it through surgery and was awake. After they removed the tube he let out a scream and died. They worked on him for some time. I am at a loss.
From grape poisoning to insect bites, here are some need-to-know tips to keep your four-legged best friend’s tail wagging this summer.
I know Lynn posts regularly, but hasn't posted yet about her boy, Tug. I put the rainbow up for her, I am sure she will come on and post sometime.
Hi everyone - I hope you and your bullies are enjoying the summer so far! So, I have a question and I really need your thoughts/advice. Bosco has been acting strange. Really strange. First, there is the licking and when I say licking I mean LICKING! Licking his paws, front and back, licking the air, licking the couch, licking my leg, my husband's leg, the comforter. He wakes up in the middle of the night and licks the air and his feet and rocks back and forth. With this, there is the barking. At nothing. Barking at the bookcase. At the ottoman. At the pantry. Just barking.
My breeder called yesterday after taking Carson to the vet and said that my puppy has a heart murmur. She wanted me to wait another 3 weeks and take him back to the vet to recheck him,but I backed out from getting him.Did I do the right thing?
Have been using a pretty ceramic set for years that I love. it has flat sides/straight edges. Perhaps it is too small, but food is always spilling out. Is it the size, the shape or is there any bowl where food doesn't get everywhere. We open feed, so it's not like I can feed, clean and be done. There is always food lying around...
TIA!!
Is anyone a member of the BCNJ on this site? I have tried to contact two board members of BCNJ and haven't any response.

Sorry I am posting on the general forum. I kind of need a quick answer.
Does anyone know how the vet list was put together? I assumed it was because the vets were specialized in brachycephalic breeds. However I did go to one vet on the list and could tell they hardly ever see bulldogs (Fatboy was treated as a novelty). We moved here to Austin in February, and I'm needing to find another vet already. I can't tell if Fatboy is having phlegm issues due to allergy season, or if he is experiencing aspiratipn pneumonia.
