has passed...i read somewhere despite his size he truly was a gentle giant...rip georgie,thoughts and prayers to his family

So my little girl looks like she will be going into heat very soon... I talked to the vet today and told her that she is 9 months (next week) and that about 3 weeks ago I saw a little bit of brownish discharge. The vet said that could have been it, since it was her first time, she may not bleed a lot. All the other signs are there... has anyone ever had this before... I was waiting for a lot of blood during this time (like there was with my Mastiff - I know she is a lot bigger!!)

I haven't been on in a while but about 2 weeks ago my 12 year old Winston snapped at my husband bad and it was totally unprovoked. In the past, the two of them had issues as Winston was very jealous of my new husband (I was alone with Winston for several years). I took Winston to my parents where he stay for a few days and came home on the weekend as my husband went out of town. The days following Winston just didn't seem himself - glazed look - stare at nothing or a wall - very out of breath after climbing 3 steps. I made an appointment for vet this Saturday.

By husband David is having surgery - fixing a hernia. We were supposted to have surgery at 10:00 am but it got delayed until 2:00. I went home earlier to put Maybull out, give her breakfast and give her her pills. I left the radio on for her. She likes NPR. Anyway, we should be home by about 5:00 pm and then I'll be busy so if I don't log on, don't worry. I just wanted to touch base with everyone.
