HI everyone. I would like to knit my bully a sweater for this winter but can't find a pattern to do that. Does anyone have one? Thanks
while we were at Rehoboth Beach for the annual Sea Witch Festival.
Granite State Dog recovery is one of the best resources if you have lost or have found a missing dog, in New England. it an all-volunteer non-profit.
It also is gratifying to be able to be able to help dogs in our local areas to be reunited with their family's.
Farley is doing awsome...but...I work at a shelter and we have an English Bulldog (male) that just came in as a stray. Owners have not clamied, and if they do not ,I will be taking him home once he is neutered etc. He had no collar, no chip, NOTHING.
His personality is a lot like my Farley, my concern is that the new Bulldog (whom we have dubbed Henry) has been intact his whole life and I am not sure of his background since he is a stray. He does not seem to have any dog/food aggression and passed his temperment tests with flying colors.
Unfortunatley we had to get our six month old Bully neutered today. He was starting to get aggressive towards our older female bulldog and after talking with our vet we felt we had no choice but to get him neutered now. I really wanted to wait until he was at least one year old so he could develop more. He is already 43lbs so I dont expect him to be small but worried he might end up smaller now compared to waiting. Obviusly no turning back now and we had to think about what was best for him and Georgia but I just hope this helps.
Hi everyone....I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion for a good harness. I currently use a front clip harness. I think it is called the easy walker. I really liked it but because of a bulldog's unique body the front part is closer to her neck whereas on another dog it would be across their chest. She doesn't pull that much anymore but when she does it ends up gagging her and one time she even spit up food because she pulled so hard. I'm looking for a good harness that clips on top because I don't want her to damage her throat.
Has anyone every experienced growing pains with their puppy. It happened with our Rotty years ago, Then I took my one bulldog to the vet around 9 months old because I thought he was limping, they found nothing wrong and he grew out of it... Now my other 9 month old pup has had a problem getting up, once she is up, watch out, she's running and jumping with the other dogs... I've read about growing pains and I know they have to "grow" out of it. Just wondering if anyone out there has had this problem too! If so what did you do for your dog.
and happy tuesday bdw!!
