OK ,
To change gears a little, please answer this. 1 answer only per question, not 2...just 1 answer allowed.
1- If you was to get another dog (and it could not be a Bulldog) what breed would it be, only 1 choice is allowed.
2- If there was one breed in which you would not want to own, what would it be and why
( no disrescpect for that breed, whatever it may be, just a persoanl choice is all)
1. Frenchie 2. Husky n/m
n/m
Dog Breeds...
Another dog not a bulldog that I would want: Pug
Dog I would not want: Pitbull (there are many reasons why).
Jodie and Elsa
I would...
1. get a rottie (love them!) also very warm, cuddly, stubborn and silly
2. a poodle, sorry, just too froo-froo for me...
- Cristina (& Leeloo)
"the greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return."
tough one but
1 - I would get another American Stafforshire Terrier (had one before Sumo)
2 - Rottweiler. They have always scared me since I was younger and got chased by one at a dog show.
Bullmastif and Yorkie!
If I've got the room and the time I would really like a Bullmastiff, a dark brindle one.
Yorkies are way too small for me, I like to have something to hold!
Aww...wonderful story!
Thanks for sharing that ce! I think Mum sounds like one awesome lady!!

Auntie Sam....hey I think I like it! Auntie Sam it is!! hehe...
Deb
Bullmastiff
NO Poodles because my grandma has them :-Þ

MY CHOICES
1- If you was to get another dog (and it could not be a Bulldog) what breed would it be, only 1 choice is allowed.
FRENCH BULLDOG
2- If there was one breed in which you would not want to own, what would it be and why

DALMATION ONE KILLED MY CAT AND I HAVE NOT LIKED THE LOOKS OF THE BREED SINCE. JMO
well I didn't exactly....but the story goes....smile
we had the 5 yelps and then last summer My hubby lost his grey to spine cancer..and hubbie was crushed...he said that's it no more..I understood and agreed...then the day before my birthday I was looking at bullie sites on the web ..because we had both said for years someday when we are rich..but God forbid please not famous...we will have a bullie.
we had know folks with them ..read extensively...surfed for info everywhere..and found this board...but it was a in the future thinking..when I came across you know who's site there was Mojo at just a couple of days...looked like an abandoned baby polar bear..and I was smack-up side of the heart smittoned...go figure..I had seen hundreds of bullie pictures ...and loved them all but Mojo..hit hard..and hubby walked by and just stood there staring...then the next morning for my birthday I got a card with a bullie on it that hubby had bought days before and the bullie was the exact same coloring as MoJo..and hubby just worte if you can make it happen ..I owe you a bullie whenever you are ready...well open the gates ..here I come..my mums had just gotten her retirement...and although she is the he last to be able to afford anything..but she gave Hubbie the monies for Mojo..and said before i die I want to give ce the gift of a heartbeat that she will always know was sent by me...and she has found him..it was a call to the breeder..and you of all people know the rest..hey Deb how about auntie Sam?lol...ce
Bullmastiff
I would love a bullmastiff, if I did not have a pack of dogs now I would have one. I would not want a poodle!
My choices :)
Well I made that choice recently. After being soooo burned out on trying to find a female bully and getting the runaround from breeder after breeder, we decided to get another breed. I chose a Shih-Tzu because she was small and prissy next to big ole Henry! And thats her name- Prissy.

But.... if I was to get yet another dog breed...lol...(I would have to move to a farm!) I think I would want a Mastiff- a big beautiful MASSIVE Mastiff.
One breed I would never own, is a Boston Terrier. No offense to anyone that has them, but I think they are the ugliest creatures known to man! lol I have just never liked them. But thats just my opinion.
My choices..
1st:Greyhound, I think they are so regal.
2nd: Would not want an Alaskan Malamute, TOO much hair and energy!!!!
chuckle my favorite answer so far
and the imagine of a poodle with a wrinkled bum has me cleaning coffee off my screen...lol..ce
kristae you are so right..it's who is doing the breeding..and ho
unfortunately some of the breeds with bad names...
are in the hands of the wrong people for the wrong reasons..heavy sad sigh...
I know some real charmers and they are sweet os honey ...ce
Re: Survey me this!!!!!!! EVERYONE REPLY!!!
1-Golden Retriever - family had a couple and thought that's the only breed to have until my fiance talked me into bullies, can you believe I had to be talked into it
I love that their so friendly, but bullies are friendly too!
2-Chihuahua - No offense to anyone, but any chihuahua I have ever known was mean, I could be wrong about the breed.
Question!
With a house already somewhat filled with yelps...lol...how did you come to be out there looking for MoJo??

Deb
that's funny, my other number one woulda been a dobie!
LOL
Emily
My picks:
Well since I already have 7 boston terriers I would love to have a frenchie or a bull terrier.
I would never own a blue heeler.Heather
I think they are super dogs
I was never keen on them, but had only seen them all froo-frood up in dog shows. Then I saw a few Standards in person and they had normal haircuts and they are really nice, pretty dogs. It's on my list of dogs I'd like to own someday (but webbie only let us pick ONE for the survey so I had to go with the no-grooming-needed Saluki)
then the borzoi, then the afghan, then the standard poodle, then the bullterrier, then the Ibizan, the the Irish wolfhound, then the great dane, more Greyhounds, one can never have enough Greyhounds, a pharoh hound, oh there's so many great breeds out there

I told my husband we could be like Noah's ark with dogs, have two of each breed
My Choice
1. French Bulldog (not sure if this still counts as a bulldog) so out of the bull family it would be a
Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen (wired hair basset hound)
I love them and think they have an adorable face and I hear they are very mischiveious!
2. I would not want a Datson
Hoppy! How cute! So I'm pathetic... I want a Dane named Hamlet!
Julia
Minature Poodle is my choice! (my fiancee picked the bullie)
I LOVE poodles. I had one growing up, that dog was so smart and loyal. I would NEVER get a Rottweiler or a Pitbull
my first rescue was a standard poodle..but I didn't foofoo her..
loyal,and a great love...
and I was only 13...I swiped her from a yard where she was beaten..and when the owners reported me..I did it in front of them///doh!
the police came took one look at her..and told the owners that they could press charges ..and admit the dog was theirs and then they would be arrested for abuse..or they could just say they made a mistake and they had never ever seen that dog in their life..and leave it with me....I kept her...ah the good old days when the police could pull stuff like that..I did get a lecture from the police, that was not how to handle helping other dogs in the future...but also they came back the next day with bags of dog food and toys..and goodies for her...and to make sure the neighbors were not giving me any grief...
she loved to swim...walk by a lake and poof you and she were both swimming..lol
and she was very smart.....so in her memory I'll joke about the unfairness of shows that combine the oddest group of breeds into one catorgory..but they are wonderful dogs...ce
This is a tough one!
Sorry webbie but, I'm having a hard time choosing only one.
)
1. Either a Weineramer (sp.?), Bull Mastiff or Hairless Chinese Crested (would love to carry one around in my purse...Sheldon wont fit
2. Pitt Bull. I don't care what anyone says, I'm convinced that the temperment of the Pitt Bull has to do with how these dogs have been bred and little to do with how they are raised. Sheldon had a Pitt Bull pal that was raised very lovingly and attended his doggie day care since he was a tiny tiny pup. All of the sudden, for no reason and without provocation, the Pit Bull locked his jaws around Sheldon's neck and would not let go. Sheldon suffered deep puncture wounds, but was ultimately okay.
not fair....I'm surrounded by 6 yelps..3 different breeds and th
pick me no pick me look...are you trying to stir up a sibling war at my so very calm home webbie.. ?
I swear webbie your always stirring things up..grin
so I'll put this on hubbie(he's at work...shhhhhhh)
If it can not be a bullie then it would without a doubt be another rescue "Greyhound."
breed I wouldn't want to live with?truth is 'none' I've never met a breed I didn't like and honor..but
for you ...an answer?!
I'll say I wouldn't want to share our home with a tiny Pekenese...reason..they would blend in with my dust bunny family way too well..and I might accidently lose them...grin..
oh I'm sorry I can not in good consceince pick a breed I wouldn't live with they just don't exisit!ce
Thanx -- and my real #2 is a tie between poodle and doberman
two opposite ends of the spectrum. And if I couldn't the bull terrier as my #1, I would go with a bull mastiff -- if I had a really big yard and someone to scoop up the huge mounds.
Yes, but they look awesome when together
I love that ad I keep seeing of them. Plus, the chihuahua could protect you if Godzilla ever visits your neighborhood. "I tink I need a bigger box" -- still love that commercial.
it was a bull terrier!!
they are so cute and unique..

i posted a picture of mine for you guys.
check at the top, i made a new thread!!
nm
1. A General Patton dog 2. Any dog that barks in French
I think Patton had a bullterrier, but can't remember for sure.
with ya on this one
I so very much agree...we have neighbors with a Harlequin and he is absolutely gorgeous. His name is Hoppy, because he looks like he's hopping when he walks. And chihuahua's are too "rat" like for me, lol. And I'd always imagine he'd turn to me and say, "Yo quiero Taco Bell!" lol
Yes!! Pix Pix Pix Puhhhhleassssse!
Julia beat me to the request, LOL! would love to see photo of your bull terrier, my husband keeps talking about getting one (although he won't let me get a third dog of my choice, if it's a Bull Terrier he'd be fine with it).
What is her personality like?
for us...
We would get a French Bulldog if we couldn't get a Bulldog.
We would never get a Chihuahua because they're tiny and yappy and have no great big mug on which to love.
Post pics of your bull terrier! We love them! Pleeeease? =)
1. bull terrier...
because i already have one and love her..

2. maybe schnauzer? i have never really liked those.
This is easy
First if I got another dog I think it would be a boxer. I have always liked them. My daughters friend just got a puppy that is so cute.
2) A poodle, I just can't stand them.
Tough question
I would own a boston terrier
I would NOT own a poodle.... NEVER!!!
Carolina & Lola
my choices
Lisa, my husband wants a bull terrier
Anyway, my choices are, and since I already have a rescued Greyhound (great choice webbie, they are super), I won't pick Greyhound since I have one, I'm taking this to pick a dog we don't have right?
I'd love a Saluki
I would never own a Doberman Pinscher
In defense of Pitbulls..........
It is all in how they are raised. I have several friends that have pitbulls and they are the most cuddly and friendliest dogs I know, well except for Diamond. You just have to treat them right!!
I would get....
an affenpincer or however you spell it! love those little things!
I would never get any type of schauzer!! Got bitten by one when I was little!
OK mine are
Ummm I think a Frenchie because they are little bulldogs.
Without a doubt a poodle, cuz they are UGLY dogs and they are always beating us at the shows.
Big, standard poodles are really fun water dogs!
I don't WANT one, but when my parents lab passed away, I tried to get them interested in a standard poodle.
Or at the very least, a Portugese water dog...
Julia
Probably a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel...
I would definitely NOT want to get a Shih Tzu.
Emily
1. Merle or Harlequin Great Dane! 2. Chihuahua =)
Two opposite ends of the spectrum, eh?
Julia
Re: Survey me this!!!!!!! EVERYONE REPLY!!!
For #1 I would chose a Matiff.
For #2 I would not want a poodle!
Choices
1. Rottweiler-great all around breed
2. Dalmation-I have known 4 people that had Dalmations that inflicted serious bite wounds. I'm afraid to trust the breed.
hmmm
I would want---another Chesapeake and i wouldnt want a Collie cause of the grooming, and my neighbors have them--they start barking at 5 in the morning and never stop which has made me not ever want one even though they are nice dogs.
Bassett Hound
I would love to have a Bassett!
A dog I do not ever want - no offense - poodle!
My answers
If I could not own a bulldog my second choice would be ...... a bulldog. I would not own a poodle. No disrespect to a poodle it just that they are not as good looking as our beloved bullies. And they dont have a wrinkle butt.
Bullmastiff!!
After I have by bulldog Im surely going to have to add a Bullmastiff to the puppy list. They are just so much fun and playful that I think they'd be a great fit for a bulldog. Also a boxer would be my second choice.
