I don't believe I would have a Chihuahua (sp?)...just don't care for dogs that are that small (no offense to anyone here that may own one).

I totally agree with you on the pittbull... Milo got attacked by one a few months ago - and the people that owned him kept on reassuring me he used to be really friendly right!
Ive known so many people that have raised those dogs to near perfection but they always seemed to snap later on in life.

I'm with you about the hair thing. But poodles (especially the Standards) are incredible to watch in Obedience. Those foo-foos really know their stuff!

An alternative breed would be a French Bulldog. I'd like to think they are pretty similar to a Bulldog.

I NEVER want a Dalmation ... too hyper for me!

I WILL get a Bull Terrier (Spuds Mckenzie). It keeps me in the Bully breed and adds a touch of crazy assed terrier.

I would not own any kind of "Pit". Not because it's a bad breed, I just don't like the connotations.

A dog I wouldn't want...anything that "yaps" alot. In other words...a dog that has "little dog syndrome".

I would have to get a Pomeranian because they look like creatures from outer space---too funny! I would NEVER get a poodle--just don't like em!

Guess i should have added mine, hmmm...if i could not have a bulldog then i would just not get any other dog, but for the sake of the survey my 2nd choice would be a rescued greyhound. dog i would not own, simple, poodle!

Hands down! Solid black or Landseer, I don't care. I just want a big, beautiful Newfie.

I think they are beautiful dogs, I have met a handfull of them that have just a sweet loving personality.
However - I have known ALOT of people and I mean ALOT of people who have owned pitbulls, raised them to be as nice as can be but when they got older they just snapped - Some friends of mine, theirs snapped and killed a cow, one snapped and bit a child - Does something just go off in their brain when they get older? Maybe it's because they haven't been breeding the agressing out of them as long?!

I like the big poodles - they are neat to look at, but I've had to many bad experiences with the mini little yappy ones lol!

If it couldn't be a bulldog...I would like to have a French bulldog. Never met one, but I am intrigued.

A dog I wouldn't want? Probably a Rat Terrier. Cole's grandmother has one...very snippy and very unpredictable temperament.

1: If I were to get another breed it might be a boxer.

2: Although I do like the looks and the good qualities of many I would never own a pitbull. For I think I would be parniod, or tense knowing the possibilities.
When I went to the pound yesterday I acounted 23 pitbulls. That is really sad.

French Bulldogs are way cool, so I wouldn't mind having one, but I don't think I could ever get past the funky looks of the Chinese Cresteds. LOL I need a dog w/a little more meat (and hair) on the bones.

A pit would be way down on my list. Like you said not so much for the reputation or that many think theer all mean dogs, but just dont like theer looks or build!

I would love an Irish Setter. It's all about the temperament and setters are big mushy babies.

I am definetly not partial to Chihuahuas ... they always seem too nervous for my taste.

...Tough choice...

I would get another Saint Bernard if I couldn't get another bully..

I would not want a Dobermin Pinscher... A friend had one and it aggressively jumped toward my neck once.. ..scared the %#$@ out of me!!

What would I want-besides another bully-

It would be a tough choice between a Newfoundland(I love water and think it would be cool to have a dog to go swimming with) although I would want interest in the groomers because they would be there a lot-or a Bull Mastiff-my neighbors have two and I love there dogs!

I do not want a lab-they are super nice but all too common!
