Size, Proportion, Symmetry

Size
The size for mature bulldogs is about 50 pounds; for mature bitches about 40 pounds.

Proportion
The circumference of the skull in front of the ears should measure at least the heigth of the dog at the shoulders.

Symmetry
The "points" should be well distributed and bear good relation one to the other, no feature being in such prominence from either excess or lack of quality that the animal appears deformed or ill-proportioned.

Lets try a discussion over the next few days and see how it goes. Learning the standard is not simple and hopefully we all get better at it over time, with study and an open mind.

Some of this may appear elementary at first to some, but let's try to remember not everyone reading this has been in the sport for many years. Some of the readers are eager to learn and I've found this is a good way to increase our knowledge.

Late yesterday evening, the mandatory spay/neuter proposal that was to be considered today by the New Orleans City Council was withdrawn by the ordinances sponsor, Councilwoman Cynthia Hedge-Morrell.

We are new and justed wanted to say HI to all.. we are proud parents of two beautiful bullies. We are in the learning stages and our babies are growing fast and doing well. They are 9 and 8 months old- Bella & Bruno. I am in the process of researching Kennel Clubs to become members of and learning what I need to do to get them into training for show.
