Hi All
Is it possible that there is a connetion between the intubation from surgery and louder snoring post-op?

My Lola had cherry eye surgery last week, her eye still looks the same if not worse. When she went to her one week check up I was told one of the stitches may have popped and the vet may need to go in and trim some of the eyelid and won't be able to tack it down anymore.
Is this standard procedure? I just don't like the idea of her lid being cut.
Hi, can anyone please give me an amt per weight for newborns for formula tube feeds? I went by the can and get 5 ml every 2 hours for an 8 oz pup. Is this adequate? Thanks, Diane
My bulldog Toby is taking Doxepin for allergies. Our vet said it is ok to keep him on it as long as it is doing good for him. He's not wanting to eat out of his bowl now but he will take it from my hand. He is taking 1 capsule 50 mg every 12 hrs. Should I lower the dose and just give him 1 every 24 hrs? Or should we have him taken off of it?
I have a 3mo female bully who has a urinary tract infection.
Typically, how long will it last?
And is there anything special I can do to comfort her until it clears?
I am fostering a 5 year old rescue who is sweet as pie! After a month on Nutro Lamb & Rice I had to switch dogfood to a very comparable brand. Now that both dogs have been on the new for about2 months the foster has started throwing up only very early in the am. 4 days in a row so far. Then when he regroups he is all happy & back to his normal self. He is vomtiing, not bile. Could this be the food starting to disagree with him? The reason I switched was the dogfood was 40$$ something & has graduated to 60.00 a bag.Has anyone experinced this?
i just read your response to connie & mason. i have a question about the prolapse part. when you say it's a hormonal thing & not a genetic defect, does this mean they can "grow out of it"? my cooper is almost 10 months old & we've been dealing with a urethral prolapse for a couple months now. it did bleed at first, i took him to the vet & got some antibiotics to make sure he didn't get infected.
My 2 year old Cosmo just started to limp favoring his rear left leg. I took him for xrays and I the vet said he has hip dysplasia and wants me to see an orthopedic specialist. Right now he is on NSAID for 2 weeks to see if there is any improvement (he is doing better). Does HD cause pain in such a young dog? I thought it didn't take its toll until they were much older. How successful is hip surgery in bulldogs? Which surgery has the best success rate? I am hoping he just strained himself and it's not the hips yet.
The good news is that the Baytril antibiotics seems to be working as her sores are scabbing over and flaking off (pleasant). However, over the weekend, these new "crop circles" started popping up. They start not too big and then expand out. The middle part is her pink belly skin but flakey. The outer edges are red and slightly 3D. They are also elsewhere on her body under her fur - they really look like crop circles.
I looked it up on the web and it said that staph can sometimes look like ringworm. Anyone seen this before ?
Dear all,
I brought kibby to the vet today to get some help with her UTI, I was able to get her to pee in a tupperware and just bring it in , instead of them sticking a needle in her bladder! But upon her checkup, it appears that her ear infection is back again... I am currently in the process of switching her food from the NB duck/potato to the instinct chicken, hopefully I find out what is causing these allergies, one day!
