Came home to find my Lola licking the top of her paws and I noticed red soars in between her toes. First time i have ever seen this. She's been on meds for a 7 days ( NIZORAL & PREVICOX 227) Starting to wonder if meds are doing this to her. I have read to put Prep H on. Anybody have any other suggestions?? I've attached some pictures.

So Josie Louise is being spayed tomorrow. I presume she will be pretty inactive tomorrow afterwards, and slow for a week or so. She will be getting Orbax as an after surgery antibiotic, for recovery as well as skin issues. I have never had a female dog so I am not sure what questions to ask my vet for after care, what should I be aware of besides the obvious no jumping, lifting (tee hee) etc? thanks J & T
Hi everyone,
So I just got my first bottle of calm coat and I have used it twice already and Spanky seems to be really freaked out by it I don't know if it's the smell or what he is feeling. He just keeps walking around he won't sit or lay down he just seems very restless, has anyone experienced anything like this, I wonder if I should stop using it?
thanks!
Sincerely,
Liz
Now we know what's wrong with her. I posted on general msg board, and we're pretty devastated. We'll see the specialist tomorrow to determine how much damage there is to her ventricals and atria. Her trachea/windpipe is totally pushed up out of the way, and her lung is pushed up, too, that's why she struggles to breathe. Her bp is high, naturally, and her resting heart rate is over 190. She is at risk for sudden cardiac death, so we must keep her calm.
Does anyone know of a trusted vet who does this surgery in the San Antonio/Corpus Christi, TX area? I looked on that list the forum has and it says Houston but this is too far for me. I was looking for someone closer. I would love to have this done on my 4 yr old bullie if it will improve his rapid breathing and his overall quality of life. Thanks!
the vet told me the one time..and this stays in my head all the time
we were disucssing Gus the deaf bully here..and she said
vets are only as good as the owner. she would not have thought that Gus was deaf but by listening to me she got the idea he was and he was. she suggested futher testing and he was deaf.
the Owner has to be very very explicit when something is happening
filling in as many blanks as possible.
including food changes and all meds that the dog is on
I took my bullie in last because I saw when he went there was blood in his urine he is the same little guy that had an uti in March. This time of course it was 10 at night so I took him to the emergency she checked his urine I also had her run an xray to see if he had stones. It should no stones small bladder due to peeing so much and she said is prostate was enlarged which can happen due to infection they can swell. So she gave him fluids couldn't do a urine culture because he didn't have enough pee to run.. She gave me baytril and mexicam for pain.
I posted on the General Forum, but thought I'd do it here, too. We're taking Tiffy back to the vet tomorrow. She's not eating at all, has trouble keeping her head up, and doesn't want to play "Find Treats" or eat her yogurt lollipops. She must be in suffering to not want to eat at all because that's her favorite thing to do. She does NOT have diarrhea and she hasn't vomited, at least not yet.
