Submitted by DeniseG on April 20, 2010 - 10:47pmThat piece of bottom of the septic tank slime Rick Johnston who has Southwest Bulldogs now has a new website called Adminzonabulldog.com. He is the person that sold Meaty to Rob and Big on the MTV show and is milking that for all it is worth. He actually is advertising bulldogs from Meaty's gene pool for 3850.00 to 4850.00. Exclusive first picks for 5850.00. In case any of you don't watch the show, they actually showed a scene where they thought Meaty was having problems because he ate chicken wings. It was so obvious that the dog has having something close to a seizure. There are a ton of complaints against him on the squeakywheel.com and also on complaintsboard.com. He is the lowest of the low piece of crap and needs to be slowly tortured and then burned alive. Please warn anyone you know that is looking for a bulldog to avoid this creep. Oh, yeah, I have David's permission to post this website. He knows he had to give me permission because if he didn't I would fly to Vegas and kick his butt.

Meaty is an idiot...I feel so bad for what goes on behind closed doors with these UGLY people.

Yes, PETA is a whole different thing
and while I appreciate that they did a spay/neuter message, the bully message is a totally different one.
People wonder why we never run out of dogs in rescue........
I would say yes.Rick & 2 of his dogs where at Meaty's b-day.
He brought Meaty's Dad and Granddad who where twice his size.
I love the show but I do wish they had shown the real side of Meaty and Vet visits.
They also did a spot for PETA to spay/neuter your dog.Peta is whole nother issue.

When I saw the bulldog hit the top 100 list on AKC's list of most registered, I cringed. Every time I see a bulldog in a commercial on TV, I hate it. There's so much more to being a bully mom or dad than that cute, cuddly pup. Yea, some may dodge the bullet and find one with NO health issues, but even so, their care is just throwing some food down and letting them out to potty. AJ is free to go anywhere with me and when folks ooo and ahhh over him, I'm quick to tell them that I've got another at home who underwent heart bypass surgery in '07 and to be very, very careful should they decide the bulldog is the breed for them.

Living in Arizona and talking to local breeders he really is a peice of work.
He had two bullies that we where going to get into rescue from one of his employees that had major health problems and were just left in a small outside kennel.

I don't fault celebs for having these babies - heck, look how much we all love them, but I cringe when I see their popularity skyrocket because they look like so much fun on TV. Hopefully those in the spotlight (along with the rest of us) are able to continue learning about the breed and can educate whenever the opportunity presents itself.

I've heard that Meaty is a mess. If he's having problems, the celebs should let that be known. My hubby was working on someone's motorcycle earlier this week, a younger guy, and he brought up the show and how cool Meaty is. I let him know REAL quick that Southwest is a breeder to steer clear from and, of course, showed him big, beautiful AJ.

Well, they can use their
"celebrity" no matter how big or small to support or not what this guy does.
I think that people who have their pets in the public eye have a responsibility for the fans their pets create.

I know all about Southwest/Rick Johnston. Bad news! My boys are Bama bullies, but for anyone else lurking and looking to purchase, I know there's another site they need to steer clear from. I hope I didn't violate a forum rule, but I've seen other posts about Southwest that Webbie didn't lock.
