O/T. A year ago this week, I did something..

really drastic lol !

Thinking about moving on...

So my bully of 9 years passed away in early March...and our Golden is 9...   My wife and I are both concerned that he's not far from joining Magnolia in dog heaven, and we've given considerable thought to looking for our next Bully.

I found Maggie using this forum back in 2005, and she honestly was the best dog I've ever had the pleasure calling my own.  We got her from a breeder in southern Mississippi, and have since moved to East Tennessee.

pet insurance recommendations

I am looking to purchase pet insurance for our new bully puppy.

I have done a lot of online research, including reviewing old posts. I have narrowed my choices down to three potential companies as follows:

Embrace – like because they cover genetic issues, there are no breed specific exclusions, exam fees are reimbursed and the cover allergies and other chronic conditions.

HealthyPaws – I like because they don’t place any restrictions on hereditary and congenital conditions. I don’t like that they don’t cover vet exam fees.

Dog Scooting again

So we took Ethel to the vet about a week and half ago. She had her anal glands expressed, they were pretty full. The next day she started scooting again. We are going to the vet again Friday ( I am going to learn how to express them this time - have 2 other scooters at home! LOl) anyway I noticed that her little girl parts are looking really red, I am sure it's from rubbing them on the carpet. I put some triple paste on her today, hoping that helps, I use it in their ropes, works great.

Margie BARKED!

We've had her since January and not a peep and today, she barked! She was hungry and wanted her dinner. She has a high pitched puppy bark.

I think today is a good day for her.

My Old man

Best med/homeremedy for allergies? Chronic dry eye?  Approaching my man Gizzy's BAD season.  He is already on Atopica & cyclospoine for his eyes as well.  Thanks...P.S. I know that there is a medical forum

Margie's difficult night.

She had a crisis early this morning. I woke up hearing weird noises. For some reason, she'd decided to come up the stairs to the TV room and had fallen or gotten stuck. I couldn't tell whether she was trying to come up or go down, but she was in a panic. She had pooped in the kitchen. I got her downstairs and she panted from 6:30 to about 7:45. She paced around the house – not a usual activity. I got her to go out and she did a little piddle and then wandered around the backyard, very much against her usual activity.
