Merry Christmas

I know we still have 2 days but I wanted to wish (those who celebrate) a very Merry Christmas and a happy 2017.

Anyone have a bulldog with bad hips?

Jesse has been limping off and on, especially when she first gets up from lying down.  The vet did xrays and said her one hip has no socket and the other one isn't great.  We have an appt for an ortho consult, but I'd like to hear some first hand experience.  I don't want to rush her into a surgery if it's not necessary but I also don't want her next 4 or 5 years to be painful.

So question......??

I have a question for you all.  Jet is many firsts for me, the first time we have gotten an adult dog and not a puppy, our first girl and our first to have previously had puppies.  So I have a little question on her behavior as I don't know if it relates to any of the above.  We go back for another appointment with the vet next week and I will bring it up but in the meantime I thought I'd ask here.  Every night at bed, Jet will pee on her bed then try to lick it up and then lay down on her bed.  What is she doing???  Gross!!!

Snowmobile Fun!

Well, we are finally starting to receive waves of snow here, from 1-3" inches at a time, so yesterday our bosses, who have a cabin in the mountains here, invited the hubby & I up to play in the serious powder that had fallen over the past 2 days here around Gunnison.  We had 3" of new snow at our campground and they got a little over 2 feet up at their cabin.  Amelia is just a beast in the snow.  She was raised that way anyhow so she loved every minute playing with her husky, a pit mix and now everyone's new friend a mini-Doxie that other friends of ours just acquired.

Our babies' photo with Santa Paws**pik**

We were SO amazed at how well the babies sat for multiple (multi-BULL) photos with Santa Paws on Saturday.

This was also a fundraiser for our Bulldog Rescue group.   We've been fostering/  (adopted that CUTIE
Professor"  on the right!)

for a year and a half now.  It can be heartbreaking, but we love it !!!   :-)   We wanted to adopt the sweet girl we

had for 9 1/2 months; but Sophie was Wayyyy too much of an Alpha, and there was NO WAY they could live together!

adora-bull Santa bulldog **pik**

Grabbed this at Wally World (i.e. Walmart) . Sooo adora-bull !!  :-)  The pik doesn't show them at all; but this cutie has

bulldog-esque teeth, too :-)

(that cute bulldog puppy doormat is also from Walmart, from about 2 years ago).

Chemodectoma

Hi, I am new to this forum. We have 2 bullies. LuLu, my oldest, is 11. She has had chemodectoma for 4.5years now. This week she has taken a turn for the worse. She is at the vet now. The tumor is pressing on the heart causing her to pass out if she eats or drinks too fast. She is in renal failure, has fluid on her lungs(not much) and a large kidney stone(that can't be taken out as she not a surgical candiate). I am afraid this is it. Does anyone have any experience with any of these? I am really scared. Any advice. Thank you .
