In Minneapolis, there these events called 'Open Streets' where they close off 10 or 15 blocks of a major commercial street in various neighborhoods and have food and music, etc. Quigley the bulldog and I went to the one on Nicollet yesterday. We saw a lot of dogs including a bunch of Pitbulls, some Frenchies and a couple with a 14 week-old baby bulldog named Charlie. We had a great time. Quigley got part of a fancy ice cream bar, which he really enjoyed.
As Alfred Hitchcock used to say, "Good evening!". That's if you even know who that is. Yay, another weekend and I got a new bottle of Cap'n. 'Tis a full moon risin' with the tide and a perfect time to be swillin' some rum and settlin' down for two days of carousin' and grog! So, drink up, me mates, and let yer brains tackle these sea monster questions. We'll be seein' who steps up on deck and who stays below. Invite yer mates to come out and play. Arrrrrrrh! Stand by to heave to! Ready?
What is the meanest thing you've done to somebody?
Jus' waitin'.
Greetings BDW - I hope everyone is loving the start of fall! So, Bosco is about six and a half weeks post-surgery (CCL/MPL) and he is doing great. He is still not allowed to do stairs but he is going to the doctor in two weeks and hopefully he will get permission to do them again.
We put Bosco on a diet for his surgery and he lost weight, we dieted him down from about 60 to 52 at last weigh in. This is great for his health and his knees but really bad for his temperament. He is hangry all the time.
As most know, we have 2 cats. Along with several cat scratching towers, I have a cardboard cat scratcher lounge on our couch for their use also. Well, Miss Amelia has figured out that she has a much better vantage point to look out all our RV windows from up there. Since it is rough cardboard, I placed a fleece footie blanket on it so it wouldn't rub her little bum.
I'm sure there will be a logical, valid reason for what I'm about to ask, but our new girl Amelia has literally played in our off leash area with the following: Female Wolfhound mix, female pug mix, male american labrador, male boxer, female cattle dog/healer mix, and has walked with and interacted with many other mixes and purebreds here in the past 4 days.
She was adopted today from Southern California Bulldog Rescue. She was at the shelter until Rescue picked her up on 8-25-16. Overall in good health and absolutely beautiful. Love her to pieces already. They think she is around 3. We will use today as her birthday.
