I received a wonderful blessing last night in the form of a new little bulldog girl in my family. She is 10 mos. old and full of spunk! She is learning the ropes from her brother, Apollo, and the two of them are becoming fast friends. She was an owner surrender and a friend of mine took her in, I went to see her, and she came home with me. It was as easy as that. My heart is very happy, and Apollo and I are ready to share our love.
I enjoy feeding my birds & squirrels on my back deck & it's a great opportunity to get osme pix :)

I hope everyone and all the pups are doing well. Onslow is in hibernation mode until spring. xoxox
Here's what happened.
I was contacted by a facebook friend whose dad wants to get a bulldog. They live in Ottumwa, Iowa – SE Iowa. I know that there are a lot of bad breeders in that part of the world and want to hook him up with a reputable breeder. Does anyone have any suggestions? If you do, please contact me – you can do so privately. Thanks!!
Little Lady Olive is due next week! The ultrasound said 4 but there might be more...what is your guess?? :-)
She says this is her best smile....
Feed me....
well, actually jumpy........it's wednesday!!
She stays on the couch all the time. We've put a harness on her and walk her on a lead, around our main floor, a few times a day. She isn't interested in the food in her bowl, but will eat treats like cheese. We have stopped feeding her while she's on the couch because we don't want to reward her for being there. What worries us is that she isn't drinking water. She's had only a couple of sips in the last 24 hours.
Any advice on this?
She has arrived. Her name is Spring. She badly needs a bath but I think she needs time to settle in first. She is very skittish. But, it turns out, she likes to sit on our green velvet couch. They have her on ProPlan so we'll probably be mixing that with a bit of the other food (Nutro) to switch her over. Her ears need cleaning but otherwise she looks healthy. She went out in the the back yard and seemed to like the snow but I don't know how housebroken she is, so we'll put her out on a schedule until we figure it out.
She's about 5 years old and, I've been told, very shy. Her owner died unexpectedly. Apparently, she didn't bond with anyone but the owner. The home has two other bulldogs which are staying with the widower. Any advice from anyone who has done this? Thanks!
