I am very hesitant to "beef up" my dogs, but I have been told by two judges that one of my dogs "needs a little more weight to win consistantly." I've talked to my vet about this issue, and he says it's ok "within reason" taking care to add muscle instead of fat. My questions are...
1. At what age to you try to add weight a dog/bitch for the ring?
2. How do you do it? Food? Supplements? Exercise?
3. What is your procedure to make sure the bulk is muscle rather than fat?

My new girl walks great on lead but LOVES to 'snack search'.
I'm trying all sorts of different ways to get her attention up to me, favorite treat reserved only for this, special word "look", nothing seems to be working. Any suggestions???

Hi everyone,
If you need some last minute gifts, magazines are great and there is something for everyone. Be sure to click the "View all Categories" as there are many more choices than the first list. You'll wrap up your shopping and help out the club at the same time!
No Bulldogger yet but I did get the BCA Newsletter....
with my membership renewal in it.
Hmmph...

Of the last 20 post only 5 have anything to do with SHOW or SHOW related topics. Could we PLEASE post off topic info in the general topic?
Thanks, it would make life so much easier to not have to sift through for the show info.
It's getting CLOSE EvErYBuLLy! Are you ready?

Barb and I read each and every one of your replies, posts and emails and we were both very touched by such heartfelt sentiments about Tate's career. We can only say THANK YOU for making us smile. Barb says that Tate has not missed a beat back at her house and is enjoying being home. You all should have seen how he just lit up after hearing Barb's voice for the first time again in a while! It sure made things easier.
I'd like to wish everyone on Bulldogsworld a wonderful Holiday Season and have fun, but be safe!
Helen (she's in one of the pics) and I both won our class with our boys at the Saturday show. Norbert was a real pistol for me, but we did all right for our first time showing together considering Jess is usually the one who handles him.
I got mine today tooooooo
