It's been a tough week in our house..very bittersweet, ups and downs. We lost our beautiful girl Scarlet. Ch Cherokee Legend Just Fire. She was my heart, my very special girl in so many ways and I can't believe she is gone. To honor Scarlet we have decided to name our Gracie baby, Cherokee LoneStar Just Fire N Ice..and we will call him "Fire". Scarlet and Grace had a very special bond and it's seems fitting.

Canine pregnancy lasts nine weeks and then you have approximately 8 weeks of rearing to do. I have identified and defined the several stages we go through in this process:

Week one:
Was he the right one?
Typified by agonizing over whether you chose the right stud

Week two:
Was she fertile?
Indicated by mildly threatening thoughts directed at your bitch and concern about wasted $$$

Week three:

Here he is just chillin this morning!!!! He is going to be debuting in his very first shows come Feb. He is just over 6 months old.

Congrats to Suzy and Chris Holleran and Walkin Blues Babalu (Louie) for becoming a Champion at the young age of 10 months, this weekend at the Golden Gate show!!!!!!!
I am SO proud of you all and it was sooo exciting to be there watching Louie grow up and watching him in the ring to Champion!!!
WOW!!!! What a ride....

Another reason to celebrate at MotherLode this weekend!!!!
