You will never believe this........My mom is senile(long)

I was sitting in the swing in the front yard and my mom comes home from being at my sisters house. She said did you see that number on your computer and I said NO she said well Scott ask if you could take care of his dogs because they had to go out of town. I said when did he come by. ( He is my neighbor). She said I think it was last night. I said mom you have to think now. She said "Oh it was Thursday". It is now Saturday and those dogs have been in there cages for over 24 hours. I about died. I ran over there and let them out of there cages and put them outside. You are talking 3 Jack Russells. To say the least I was peed all over but I let them stay out for a good while and fed them.

I hate it that I can not bring them here. I really wish they would find a kennel for their dogs and I think I am going to have to talk this over with them. For one I was given No notice and for two I hate to see dogs in the kennel all the time. Do you believe that there cages were clean. I was very shocked. I will get up in the morning and let them out for awhile and my son loves to go over there so he will probally stay for awhile tomorrow and play with them. Very Very high strung dogs. My mother got a real tongue lashing and I don't even know when they are coming home.

My mom is officially senile......

Rebecca... This kind of thing is so hard...

...My mom had Alzheimer's dementia for about 5 years before we were finally able to get her in a nursing home. When my husband and I were first married we lived less than a mile from my parents. I helped my dad out for several years before we finally had to have my mom involuntarily committed as she refused medical intervention..

Well, we were gone for about a week one time and my dad and mom offered to watch over Sophie and my cats.. ..and my one, lonely fish, Whammie. Well, the dog and cats faired well.. ..the fish, however, was DOA.. (VERY) Dead On Arrival when we got home.

The fish lived in one of those small, octogon aquariums... ..about 1 gallon I would say..

God only knows what my mom was thinking, but while my dad cared for the other animals, my mom decided the fish needed more than fish-food. ...She poured about 2 inches of oatmeal into the aquarium for "Whammie" so "he'd have enough to eat." Needless to say he suffocated in soggy oatmeal!!

I sure loved my mom though...

I meant to say cages all the time not kennel.....

I know what you mean-

My mom had alz. but she had a fast kind and didn't live but about 6 months after diagnosed. It is rough on the whole family.

Poor dogs and pets though. My mom got afraid of all animals who she dearly loved before.
