it's still nerve-racking anytime they have to go under. I think it's worse on us than them. I hate the waiting game and just can't wait till I get the call from the vet that everything went fine.

Zapper will go in around 8 - 8:30 and I can pick him up at 4 - 4:30. I'm scared to death something will go wrong.

Dr. Pete sees about 30 bullies a week so he knows what he's doing but I'm still nervous.

Chunk's Lament

We picked Chunkie up from the vet's this afternoon following his surgery to raise his bark an octave. It was sucessful and our boy is tender but resting. He's also hungry but can't feed him yet. I felt so darn bad for him, I put this little ditty together more for me than him. Rene, are you reading this???? Sue will post some pics later.

Oh, come bullie lovers
and hear my sad tale
what happened to me
will leave you quite pale.

Woke up this morning
the sun was outside
My mama said, "Chunk,
let's go for a ride."

I jumped in the car
but Lily wasn't there
I should have known better
no one said, "Chunk, beware."

A short ride later
we arrived at the vet
"Why am I here?
"A checkup, I'll bet."

But I went right to sleep,
I wasn't a fighter
and when I woke up
I felt somewhat lighter.

So bullies please listen
this news will go far
when mama says "ride",
DON'T GET IN THE CAR!!!
