I wonder why the breeder was not contacted on Cody? Wouldn't it make sense to contact them first? What if the breeder has a contract on first rights? Perhaps there is a contract stating the dog cannot be sold but must come back to the breeder? I would be very upset if it was my dog and I was not contacted.
I posted this question on a different page but figured it would get lost so posting again. Thanks.
The breeder should have shown more interest MUCH sooner .....
if she has any problem with what's occurred, she'll have to take it up with the guy who collected $1000 for this sorely neglected Bully.
Case closed.
Re: wondering?????????
I dont see a email address posted for you? Is theer a problem? The way I feel about this is the "man" they got cody from owes this breeder, she should not be allowed to get cody back!! Especially since she sold him to a miller in the first place!!!
NOTHING WAS DONE WRONG HERE
I do feel your comments was uncalled for in this case. If there had been a contract for the breeder of cody to have first rights of return, then it would have been codys former owner who had the obligation to contact her and offer a return. The fact that he offered the dog for sale on his web site after using him 4+ years from breeding and after he was in a neglected state is the owners fault, he was obligated to offer the return of cody to teh breeder, not us or anyone else. He had for sale on the site to anyone who wanted him. If you understood contracts you would know that. So if that was teh case then codys breeder has a case against codys former owner only. I would like to be emailed and know who codys breeder was myself. email only
Please don't contact her!! PLEASE READ!!!
I appreciate your concern, and you are right she should be contacted. However, because there are things in the works, which cannot be discussed, could you please not do anything until other things have been tended to? I am positive you will know when that is. If you have any questions why please email me. Also, could I have his breeders information, just for my records? I have been trying to find it without any luck. Thank you and I appreciate your understanding in this situation. WE WILL NOT FORGET ABOUT HER!!
any deceit...
would have been on the part of the breeder Cody was bought from by us. He was responsible for giving her first rights, IF THERE WAS A CONTRACT STATING SO...
To my understanding, he could have sold Cody to anyone. Not our problem. We own him now and he is happy and recovering from horrible conditions. Thats the best anyone could have hoped for for him- even the original breeder. IF she has a problem with that guy selling Cody, thats an issue b/t her and him. It has nothing to do with us. Period. Telling her will tip him off to any plans of investigation and I would hope your sense of morality would see that- and not say a word to her yet.
What Deceit?????
I am just a lover of my bullies...what was done wrong in your eyes....what deceit....
People buying and loving cody thats deceit???
deceit?
I think everything to this point has been done with the interests of Cody in mind, so I hope that by your statement you did not mean the people on this board have behaved deceitfully. I certainly hope you are correct in thinking that the original breeder would be interested, but have to wonder how she couldn't have been aware of the condition her dogs were in - from my understanding, most breeders like to follow-up on the dogs they once raised and loved as puppies. The person who raised Cody for four years needs to be severely dealt with, and to do so effectively, it can't be a direct 'in-his-face' attack as of yet.
Cody's Breeder
I am afraid you were given incorrect information. The breeder is clearly listed on the site's pedigree.
I know she will be very upset. I know the breeder and the dog. Who told you she would not be interested?
I will be contacting her when she returns. She has been out of town.
The way this entire scenario played out is based on Deceit. I have a problem with not doing things honestly.
Thanks for the clarification....so sad...but with happy ending..
z
wow that is really sad too then.
n/m
actually Cody was not breed by the owner he was
purchased and the onwer has been breediong him for the last 4 years...but it is my understanding the breeder of Cody really isn't interested....ce
Re: wondering?????????
From what I understood this horrible person IS THE BREEDER and in this instance I use that word lightly.
