Good evening! Now that I'm not so freaked out about the cherry eye thing (thanks for the support, everyone!) I'm trying to focus on more positive things. Can someone tell me when they think it's the optimal age to take a bully pup to puppy training class? My pup will have the last of his shots at 16 weeks so I'm trying to plan ahead!

Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback everyone! I'll start looking for a class now since 16 weeks is right around the corner. And the article is great!

Tuffy's Mama
that's what my vet said too, and the breeder.
I listened to them and Audrey is now having aggression issues. I wish I had taken her much earlier now, but now it's too late and there's nothing I can do about it.

I SO wish I had found this board a year ago!
would have made such a profound difference in our lives..

anytime after 16 weeks and final shots is what my bulldog vet sa
so go for it - get him out and have a blast in class....

At the training centers where I have worked
the beginning age was 10 weeks. Hundreds of pups came through classes and not one case of infectious disease. So, I agree with the article, the importance of socialization for outweighs any health risk.

We took Dozer as soon as he had all his shots..
It seems the earlier you start them in classes and with socialization the better dogs they will be. Just my opinion...
