Submitted by Elaine on April 21, 2010 - 12:33amHoping my Sonoma house isn't drowning! I'd hate that new wood floor to be ruined before I ever get to live with it.
This house is solid as a rock and up in an elevated area of hills, so no worries about flooding here. However my water heater broke and there is a river running through my garage full of furniture. Plumber is on the way!
I suppose we do need water. Glad I don't have to go anywhere today. It's really coming down. 
I don't rescue animals because I want to feel better about myself, or morally superior to anyone. The best part of my life with animals is the humility they teach and the humanity the foster.

You all in CA get the fires and then the flooding. We had sun today. Woohoo! Too bad I wasn't outside to enjoy it. With all the gray I will soon want to kill someone.

Southern CA has warmer weather. It is hotter in central CA where Rhiann is and it's cooler here near San Francisco.

I feel so sorry for the people over in Pacifica in those unstable apartments. View or not, there is no way would I stay in an apartment that was in danger of sliding into the ocean.

I'm in Nor Cal. It's sunny now..
we are big babies when it comes to stormy weather here in CA. I've been to Florida, so I know what real weather is! We don't get those magnificent lightening shows. One little crack of thunder and my dogs are all climbing in my lap. I had to crate Roxy, so Bentley and Junior could come be near me for protection. Belle could care less.

we have a place at Incline. I heard Tahoe is expecting BIG snow. Wish I could be there. Snow is so much more fun than rain.

I guess it's CA's turn for the rain
I wish it would give the South a break. Last year in Arkansas we had the wetest year in recorded history, over 75 inches of rain. We've already had a few rainy days this year with more rain in the forcast.
We're anxiously awaiting your storm here in Az...
we're already saturated, it rained buckets all night last night. They say this one coming in tonight and Thursday is a doozy. My pool is about to overflow as it is and the boys will not go out to potty without one of us standing over them with a golf umbrella.
