Remi isnt fat by any means, hes got the hourglass and hes very proportionate. But i feel ike hes a big guy, lol, especially for how young he is. I meet a lot of bullies around 1.5-2 years that are the same size or smaller then remi. Hes 9 months old, and he weighs 60 lbs. And is just BIG in general! Just wondering what your bullies weigh at what age etc.
Weight can be deceptive
For example a dog with a lot of bone can weigh more than a dog of the same approximate size. Remi looks fine for his weight.

yeah
thats what i expect and tell people that see him and say "OMG hes gunna be like 95 lbs!" haha

haha
tuffy reminds me of remi actually, what a cutie!

here are some more baby remi pictures (i have TONS)
just 4 weeks old!
Remi and his brothers and sisters - hes on the bottom left
6 weeks old (the one on top)
9 weeks old (he weighed 16 lbs)
about 13 weeks old
what a cute little monster he was!
Remi probably will not
gain any more weight per say, but he will bulk up in the next 2 years. His shape will change and he will become more muscular.

Wow...Tuffy has some catching up to do!
I have to ask...what are you feeding him? Maybe I need to get Tuffster on some of that. And I'd love to see some pics of when Remi was a pup!

Re: Remy is a big, handsome boy!
at 16 weeks he was about 34 lbs, he was always a big boy!

lol i need to update it with his 9 month picture.
Re: aww
actually im looking back at my calendar and i have remi weighing in at 40 lbs at 5 months! yikes!!

aww
that is tiny!! little peanut! Remi weighed that at about 6 months!

Remy is a big, handsome boy!
I wouldn't worry about it unless your vet tells you he's overweight. I think Remy looks like a handsome stud! Speaking of weight, Tuffy is 16 weeks and weighs in at 26.5 lbs. I asked the vet if that's a good weight and he said it's a good weight. How much did Remy weigh at that age?

i am not too worried (pics inside)
like i said, i think he is just a big fella. his dad was about 68 lbs, and mom was 45, so its in his genes for sure.

lol - i try not to worry about the numbers on the scale myself either!
i took a few pictures just now to show people, although he pretty much refused to look at the camera since i wasnt holding it, haha he just kept looking at me instead.
lol dont mind the strange angle, it was on a timer set on my tv stand! haha.
and then my cat walked in front of it, lol
oh i love that face <3
I have a runt at 38 pounds lol
but he is a puppy mill survivor so I cannot hold it against him

Re: weight.
Bullies can really vary in weight. The best indicator of how big he will be is by the size of his parents, grandparents...

It sounds like he may grow to be a bigger fellow. Don't worry about the numbers. If you can feel, but not see his ribs, he is probably on target for him.
LOVE Remi's pup pix
He was so so adorable! I can't believe how big he's grown from that tiny little pup. Remi and Tuffy do look alike, especially as pups!! Thanks for sharing these sweet pix and keep them coming!!

Audrey is very small
and since she's my first bulldog I was really worried about her size and if she was growing properly. I asked people to measure their dogs, and from the ones that responded I realized that Audrey has a short back. I thought it was her legs that were very short, I was surprised when I saw the measurements that she is about the same height as a lot of other females. She weighs 43 pounds and she's almost 15 months old. Remi's legs are MUCH longer than Audrey's, she is below knee level on me and I am only 5" tall. That is one very interesting thing I've discovered about bulldogs: they really are a diverse breed. I'd love to hear from show people about the standard and how much it really matters in the show ring, especially the standard for size and weight.
