Why don't you get the knowledgable people Like Helen , Patti, Ce and jane and others with more knowledge than the rest of use and do a manual with their suggestions on handling various problems and sell it on the site. I for one would purchases some of these so as not to have to keep posting the same questions [ I think I have a memory thing] I have been trying to make copies of the answers but it would be nice to have it in a booklet form Just a suggestion.
Even if we didn't include medical advise
I would buy it for the care info you guys have and behavior advise.
My thoughts....
As was said, there is tons of good information on the links of the home page. To even print all those out would be quite a book of information one could have.
I understand though your idea of a book. Heck, others have written a book with their training, care, etc. methods. Of course, when you get to giving medical advice, having it in a book could be a problem. So, being some of the most important things (medical) not really be included, it would be hard. Of course, home remedies are always just "people's experience" and home that anyone taking it understands that what works for one doesn't always work for another. Two good examples is tear staines and allergies. There are dozens of "remedies" that have perhaps worked for someone, but doesn't help another. They are just hit and miss in trying to resolve the problem.
But, the general idea is good, but as said, would be LOT'S of work. But.....it is a thought.
That a great idea

I would LOVE...
to have time to print everything out and just never get around to it! I love the home remedy stuff too, rather than chemicals and drugs. Home remedies are tested and proven by people we know! lol
Maybe if someone does a REALLY good job of making a binder or book, we can sell between us and donate the profits to the site. Even with medical advice (and some of the medical advice we get here is major)...even with medical advice in it, if we keep it just between us and "under the table", we can kinda pass them around for a "donation" to the site. There's a way to get around everything...lol
I just am cautious because there is always "someone" on here that will get a stick up their behind if they follow advice and things turn out bad anyway...and would be looking to place the blame on the one who gave advice, ya know? One in every crowd.
I love the home remedies also
For when I can't get to the vets I know I can count on the board for good advise. But I realize it is just that and they aren't in my book responsible if it doesn't work out.
I guess I'll just keep making my own book.
Advice
Is great for minor things and I for one love home remedys!
Where I agree....
that those people are the very authority on Bulldog Health, Show and Other Issues... (a good name for your folder!)- I do think that is some sort of mal-practice for them to have any kind of book giving advice on treating medical conditions without some sort of license to do so.
Im not a lawyer but it seems like selling a book with medical advice could be a huge liability if they dont have a license. That said, I agree that I listen more to their advice than my vets! lol
I have a manual of my own...
I made a manual of sorts right before I got PJ. It helps alot sometimes actually. I printed off alot of stuff from bulldogsworld.com actually and printed off some of the posted topics. It is in a binder and is about 120-130 pages.
It was really easy to do, but may be difficult to do on a large scale!

That sounds like a BIG project ....
If these knowledgeable folks don't have time for that kind of task, maybe you can print out the information you especially find helpful as you come across it, and hold it in a folder or binder to create your own manual.
There's all kinds of great information in the links on the homepage.
But you're sure right ... those gals know Bullies!!
