he is not a bulldog, but thought you guys might be interested....he was found in a box on the side of the road at about 5 weeks old. he had a deformed paw and his other front leg was not quite right either. the locals raised the money for amputation and surgery. here is the info from the site:
Hershey is a one of a kind dog. Hershey found his way to Paws and Claws after finding his way into an area young womans heart. Hershey was born with severely malformed front legs, leaving him with limited mobility. When Hershey caught the eye of a woman at Leashes and Leads in Byron, Hersheys fate and luck began to change. Rallied by the caring hearts and financial support of admirers and donors to the Paws and Claws Emergency fund, Hershey found his way to expert orthopedic care at the University of Minnesota. Hershey has gone through a procedure to lengthen his one leg, and had a partial amputation of his right leg- leaving him a future candidate for a doggy prosthetic leg! Despite the ordeal and obvious pain he has endured in his short life, Hershey is a trooper. He gladly greets his many fans and has won the hearts of so many generous individuals. The attention this young dog has garnered has helped raise awareness for the other cats and dogs at Paws and Claws that find themselves in need of emergency veterinary care. Cats like Jackie and Tigger Tom, and dogs like Rambo, Princess, and Barney, all owe their health and survival to the generosity bestowed by our Emergency Fund Donors.
Hershey has found his way into many hearts and now has found his way into a forever home where he can grow strong and aspires to be a certified therapy dog. Hershey has been and always will be an ambassador of Paws and Claws and its mission.

Oh, what a story
and what a great life he is going to have. There's a reason why all those little pieces in his life came together, he has plenty to teach those in his life.
Thanks for posting.
