Water Puppy

Hi,
I am getting a new puppy soon. They are about two weeks old now. The puppy I like was born with a little water on her, just a little bit swollen. She is fully recovered now, but my question is: Will she have a greater chance of physical health problems or passing problems on genetically because she was a water pup? Please let me know. Thanks.

Too much "unknown"

They haven't found the reason for water puppies. Some thought is some might be hereditary, genetics, and some might be other reasons, "environmental", food, etc.

I've known many pups that have a little fluid on them (puffiness) and it comes down within days, and don't know of problems later with them.

Interesting thought though. I don't think anyone has ever tracked it though to know.
