took the chunky pugs in for a weigh in today. they are on diets...the two boys need to loose a few pounds. We took along Bella too. she was due for a weigh in as well...we are trying to keep her weight up..the opposite problem to the pugs..lol
so Bella got weighed. no fat at all on her. the vet was super impressed. she is 20 Kg. not sure what this in pounds but she is very slight.
next the pugs..will not even put on their weight on here...hahahha. but weighing the pugs..Bella went to the waiting room with my son. WE hear this big growl. I mean a big growl and everyone in the back room including me said that WAS that REALLY Bella?? that growled.. she is soo quiet and passive at the vets always..but this young golden came up to her and sniffed her and then stood over top of her and that was it... simple at that.. she told the other dog to take a HIKE and fast..
well nobody got hurt..the other dog backed off..
but really was shocked that Bella did that too..
not her nature
but Bulldogs for some reason do not like things over their heads..
I notice that with Gus too...if you walk over him when he is sleeping..he freaks out..
anyhow ...never a dull moment..
Well she told him
Stella sez "labs are stupid and he deserved it!"
can just imagine that with a kitten and heavy cat..wow..
that must be very hard to do..
my cat is free fed here..and tiny as well.
she is the same weight when I got her..part simese and very lean.
I did see her sneak the dogfood on occasion but not often..
that must be hard to do with...
a heavy adult cat and a kitten that needs to be fed more often
I am sure not a cat expert..lol. never had a cat until I got the one I got for the mice around here. I really became bonded to her but never ever thought of owning a cat.
well even the vet said SHE TOLD HIM..lol
he was stepping out of her comfort zone..lol
both were on a leash too..
she must have felt threatened or something
who knows.
just kinda leave me alone..hahahaha I think is more like it
weight issues
Your Bella sounds like my Stella, she is 33 lbs soaking wet, and I CANNOT get weight on her.

I think she is ok at the weight she is at, probably easier on her joints, but I worry that people think I am starving her!
My cats on the other hand, Gunner is a HUGE fatty and will eat and eat and eat, so I have him on a diet and we have little baby Kameko who we feed 3x a day, and have to watch like a hawk, because as soon as she steps away from her food dish, Gunner sweeps in and eats the leftovers!
Kameko will also eat the dogs food on occasion, its very funny - Stella will just stand back and wait until she is done and then go and eat after the kitten finishes.
Tiffany and Stella
yes..she weights about 44 pounds or so
thanks.
aint THAT the truth....(never a dull moment!) LOL! :-) (nm)
FYI.......
2.2 lbs in one kg!
She gave fair
warning. Nothing wrong with that behavior.

she did mean business..lol
to be able to hear her clearly in the backroom..yea she meant business.
the other dog was a young puppy that wanted to play
but Bella took that otherwise I guess..lol
do not stand over top of a bully
Bryan said she was low growling when the other dog first sniffed her butt..that is how it all started.
not if anyone has one dog on a diet and ONE dog not....but..
it is truly a pain in the butt when ONE is trying to loose.
Bella has to keep her weight at her weight without loosing.
the boys are on a strict diet and eat a good diet food...
Gus is neither heavy or light and he kinda hoovers at the same weight too.
but if those PUGS boys for one second see a piece of Bully food around..
watch out..lol it is gone
neither of my bullies have fantastic or big appetites. they only eat what they need.
my other female pug is soo slight that she is not even close to standard for a pug. I thought it was maybe genetics but both her Mom and Dad were 23 pound pugs..as are her sibblings. she is 13 pounds at 2 years old. she is very very tiny.
weights I find very confusing
and guess the pugs will always be on a diet for a bit..the boys..
they need to loose about 6-8 pounds minimum.
If she's like Onslow she gets
stressed at the vet. Onslow HATES it and he cowers and quivers when there. So unlike him.
