VPI pet insurance...Go or No Go?

Last post....I promise....

Can anyone give me some advice on getting VPI? Is it worth the $20/month? I never was able to gleen whether it was worth it or not. The groomer told me I should do it.

That a great idea

I need to start doing that a savings account just for Theo.

I tried it

and found that they have to many "rules" that almost always don't apply to bulldogs. out of the 2 things I submitted... nothing was paid. I decided to take the money and put it in my savings instead.

I agree with you...

...we have it think of it as insurance against a major health crisis. Putting away the same amount in a savings wouldn't work for us as it would only adds up to under $200 per year. A major surgery or something will cost much more.

So far this year with Goliath's ear infection and routine care we have received over $80 in reimbursements. Last year we got over $200. So for us it is working and worthwhile.

Do some digging and make up your own mind. For us, we like knowing it is there just in case of a serious issue, but like Oscar, we hope we never need it.

I will always strive to be the person that my Bulldog thinks I am.

it worked for me

I have it, this is the first year with it and it worked well, I have the superior plan and the Vaccination & Routine Care Coverage. It is been less than a year and I have gotten reimbursements for more that what I will pay for the whole year on the vaccination and routine care (first year of the puppy usually has more vet visits and vaccine expenses) I do not know if I going to take the vaccination plan next year. The superior plan paid for some urine test, but I guest that will be more helpful in the event of an accident, or bigger health problem, but to tell you the truth I hope that I do not need to use it.
