vinegar cleaning solution?

Has anyone ever heard of using a small amount of vinegar to wash dog in to get rid of doggy odor? I found somethings on this last night, has anyone ever done this? Please let me know, I am working on the house right now and want to get the puppies smelling fresh too! Thanks, Malinda and the pack

maybe you needed more water less vinegar?!? that happened to me

and I do looove those chips! Yum!

I used it the other day on my rug and my house still smells like

The yummy salt & vinegar ones!

I don't mind it, but it's not exactly a "clean" smell to me. It's more of a food smell. Ha ha.

But it does work!

It really works...

I put a vinegar water solution in a spray bottle and walked around the carpets and sprayed just like I would with Febreeze. I opened the windows and let the fresh air in and the vinegar smell out and no more dog smell! No more expensive enzyme cleaners for me. Vinegar has worked the best.

I use vinegar and water for

my floor, especialy if there are any doggie accidents. I put alittle bit (maybe a couple of TBspoons) in a bucket of water to mop with and I also have a little spray bottle with water and a tiny bit of vinegar which I use to spray the floor with after cleaning up an accident. Vinegar works because it gets rid of odor (once it evaporates) and it contains no smell that indicates to dogs that they should continue to potty on that spot (i.e. no amonia) like some other comercial cleaners have (like bleach).

I don't know about using it on the actual animal though... hope this helps!
