Vibrating collars

Has anyone used vibrating collars for training purposes
It was recommended to use on my daughters bullie who is deaf as a training aid and to help get her attention.
Would like some feed back if you have used or no about this.

Thanks I forgot about the damations

I figured I'd have to use hand signals but when she isn't looking at me and you can't call her the trainer recomended to use vibrator. Especially when she is in the back yard and we call everyong else and she is out there in a world of her own mot knowing they were called.

hi judy~

i really don't know anything about vibrating collars but i ahve been readin a book called The Other End of the Leash which is about dog training and it emphasises that all dogs are visual learners (as opposed to us being yappers) and so my guess is that your deaf bullie should have no problem learning as long as you focus on real clear hand and body signals. I also read that Dalmatians are prone to deafness so you might want to do a little research under their heading as it could lead you to some good advice on training deaf dogs.

hope his helps.
