Vegas related: Do you guys ever use Travelocity?
Submitted by Julia on April 20, 2010 - 5:25pmI'm getting roundtrip fares in the vicinity of $300... I could swing that, I think! But is that really RIGHT? I've never booked airfare online before, despite being an enormous computer geek.
However, I TOTALLY forgot that it's going to be a LONG flight for me, in addition to time differences, from Connecticut.
I seriously don't think I could fly BACK the day of the wedding and make it in time, even if I caught hte earliest flight. I'll be living two hours outside of Hartford at that point, on a GOOD day... (the wedding is actually in the same town, thank goodness.)
BUT, would it make sense for me to just fly out on Wednesday morning and leave Thursday night?

As long as you were there Thursday morning before judging starts. That is what starts it off.
Southwest should have October rates up the first of June....
But, can't you get a later flight out on Thursday??? Julia, email me directly on something I need to tell you.

I tried, Webbie... SouthWest is only booking thru Sept 8th right
I tried to pretend I was going other dates, and I just couldn't get anything "cheap" to come up.
I can wait though.

Southwest airlines web site, put in your dates and you may see some 99.00 airfares!!! You must use southwest web site for them from what I seen.

The problem is, I'm trying to NOT fly out of LaGuardia... but that means I can't fly non-stop.
Don't give up on my yet... I'm trying to figure this out!!!!!

Ny husband has used travelocity to book business trips..and we used cheaptickets.com for our trip to Florida a few months ago..never any problems
I hope it works out for you to go to Vegas..wish I could go. I've been there once..and it was great!

I would check with your local travel agency first.. You can usually get cheaper classes of service through a travel agency compared to booking an online agency like Orbitz or Travelocity... Trust me I've been working for a travel agency for years!!!
