has anyone had any experiences, or known anyone who has, with a reaction to the 16 week routine shots given to puppies? as in death from them? I'm at a loss for words, any information would be greatly appreciated.

vaccines given at once? That can be very taxing. I have stopped doing combo vaccines or more than one vaccine in a visit. Any vaccine or drug can cause an anaphylactic reaction. So tragic.

I had just picked her up from the breeder and stopped at my vet's to get her checked out. As I was looking thru the viewfinder, I noticed my vet's eyes bulge out and he suddenly said "turn off the camera, turn off the camera." It was scary at the time, but we later joked that we should have sold the video to vet schools all over the country so the students would learn how to immediately recognize that type of shock when it occurs and know how to immediately respond.

she blew up like a balloon, hives all over...by the time I got her back to the vet and the rush was on to save her life..her hearted actually stopped and there were able to revive her. I am sooooooooo leary around vaccines..I stay at the vets for a bit after to just be sure. the reaction did not happen right away..it was delayed like a hour or so...

she was only 7 weeks, tho, not sixteen. She went into anaphylactic (sp?) shock and almost didn't pull through. I am so sorry to hear that you lost one of your puppies.

It is devastating when it happens...I hope this is no one you know.
Much like vaccinations in human children, there is occasionally a certain percentage of adverse reaction, usually causing mild symptoms, but sometimes the effects are much worse. We have to remember that the diseases we're vaccinating against, especially parvo and distemper are very dangerous for pups and make our decisions regarding vaccination accordingly. I don't vaccinate against corona or lepto due to the relatively high rate of adverse reaction weighed against the relatively smaller liklihood of serious infection in pups.
Do you mind telling us if there's a specific incident you're talking about? What shot there was a reaction to...
Our dermatologist is against it especially in dogs

My vet recommended to give Lepto separately after 16 weeks of ag

Unfortunately....
Vaccine reactions are common, luckily not to this extent though.
