Update on the health/help donation thing

Well guys after my long thoughts and review it just is not something I feel we could do for a few reasons.

1- It would be hard to do with IRS since were not a non profit listed company or group there would be some tax concerns there, even if the money is just passed through me to the persons needing it. Site donations are different because they go to support this site and i can show everything paid and everything recieved which off sets that as your donations pay for this site and it can been shown with my records. even though we are non profit here, no one is paid for anything they do, it is not an official non profit company per tax laws.

2- anyway you go about it you would get some people who would get there feelings hurt, it woudl be difficult to give one place and not another, and if it ever made a person feel bad it would not be worth it to me. I never want anyone to feel bad over something I did or was involved with and you know taht somehow someway it would do that at some point.

3- The funds we could raise would be emptied almost daily im sure from many peopel who have needs and it would never grow.

4- It would be just to difficult to get right, there is always the board if someone has a need and people cn decide on a case by case basis what if anything they would like to do and then no one gets there toes stepped on that way/. You know me, dont want anyone upset at something involving the board or bulldogsworld. Hay, it aint broke so dont fix it...lol..thanks for everyones support, if in teh future you still want to do teh subscription thing for the site itself that can be done also. webbie

It would be way too tough

When you were posting earlier I was wondering how you were going to manage this. Unfortunately, our hearts are in the right place but we are human too. When it comes to money and lots of people it just spells disaster.
Maybe we can simplify this and still help out the needy bullys.
Money can be collected throughout the year and on the anniversary of Bulldogsworld we cash in and the present a rescue organization with a check?
Just throwing some ideas out there. Not sure about the legalities surrounding it. If there is a problem with Bulldogsworld surrounding it then maybe posting the rescue organization Paypal on the site and people could contribute directly to them.
I just think this website gets so much activity it would be an injustice not to use its popularity towards helping the best dog in the world. Just my two cents worth.

Ditto above

As I said before, it would be great if we could do it, but it would be a very difficult undertaking. I support the sentiment and will to do it, but I agree it would be almost impossible. I know how much it costs me to go to the vet for my simple things. How much more to go there with these very sick bullies. It is mindboggling.

Ditto what Gary and Ce said....grin

Re: It was a very kind hearted idea, but

Thanks Gary,
Yes I think it could turn into a major headache and full time job on top of my full time job already...lol.... but the thoughts and ideas of it is what matters most, we all care a lot, very, very few other boards have people like all of u guys and your great big hearts, so im partial to this board and it's people here, each and every one of you, i guess it must be that i know the webmaster....lol....! things can always be posted if need be

It was a very kind hearted idea, but

it would probably also be an administrative nightmare for you. Just managing that fund could turn into a near full time job for you. Now that I've thought about it some more, I think your decision is far better than my earlier conclusion to go with it.

It was...

A wonderful idea, totally full of love and heart for our bullies. Nice try webbie...you are #1 in my books.=)
