Update on Bailey
Submitted by Vicki and Cami on April 21, 2010 - 12:34amShe had to be taken to the ER last night. She started throwing up again and was having a really hard time breathing. Thankfully my neighbor drove us and my friend, Lisa (She's in Houston - she's got 8 bullies) joined us by phone so that she could hear and talk to the doctors with us.
The techs took more x-rays and then began the task of tapping her abdomen and chest to remove all the water. In all they got two LITERS of water from her abdomen and a small amount from her chest. Now they are not only concerned about the mass around her heart, but now they are also wondering about her liver functions. They put her on Lasix, but cautioned that it's more effective in the chest not so much in the abdomen which is where all her water was.
We get to go back in a few days and talk to internal medicine and a cardiologist specialist. They should be able to give us better answers.
Bays is a sick, sick girl and I'm very worried about her.
