UNETHICAL BREEDER ??PLEASE HELP

Has anyone out there ever dealt with a breeder in Bakersfield that has the initials A.M. I am having serious problems with this person....This breeder has been giving me really bad advise about the care of a bulldog, not to memtion that my bully was diagnosed with Elbow Displasia. "This breeder" even wrote in the contract that I had to feed my bully puppy food for an entire year. Everything I have researched contradicts this, as puppy food has too much protein. "This breeder" even tried to include a clause that if I gave my Bully the Bordatella vaccine, it would void the contract. "This breeder" took the damm from the pups @ about 4-5 weeks, sold them @ less then 7 1/2 weeks and I found out that the damm was only 6 months old when she got pregnant with my bully. Furthermore, the breeder had her Vet. cut the entire litter's tail's @ less than 7 1/2 weeks. She claimed it was for preventative measures. Needless to say, I'm really frustrated with this person.
IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE WHO HAS HAD EXPERIENCES WITH THIS PERSON. IF SO, CAN YOU PLEASE! EMAIL ME. I'm trying to gather as much info as I possibly can.
It was this board who brought a lot of these issues to my attention. As Always, I appreicate you taking the time to read this and I thank you in advance for any input you can give me about this breeder.

Hi Todd---------------------

Hello Todd,
Yes, I have had dealings with this person. I read anna's message, and she is right on target.
This is very unfortunate. You can file a complaint on her with various pet agencies, to start I would call or email the better business bureau. If you do a search, there is already a complaint. Sad really sad.
You have to keep on the situation. Expalin this is wrong. Anna was very brave to go down there,
maybe you should even call the animal authorities in her area, give her vet a call as well, sounds like it is all about money. total disregard to the animal.
I can understand how betrayed and frutrated you feel. But really, she is the biggest puppy miller in bakersfield. from what I have heard from others on thids board. There have been sooo many complaints, please email Todd , he needs your help.
Im not saying there aren't happy people who have bought dogs from her, what I am saying it this story stinks! I have heard this tooo often from many others.
good luck to you, and hope you have some luck with her, and your bully.

Have spoken with Todd/Bakersfield breeder

I am very familiar with the breeder A.M. in Bakersfield and have been to her house 3 times. On the third time I refused to leave until my issue was resolved. She refused to come out of her house and had a friend deal with me. It was unbelievable. The dogs there were in horrible condition and the pups that I got to see were way too young to be separated from their mothers and they were unhealthy. The other ones were kept behind a large board partition wall and out of view from the front. I drove to her vet's office and they said they ran 40 of her dogs/puppies there in one week's time. She has them scattered at various places in Bakersfield and with different people.

Please, PLEASE... if you are considering purchasing a bulldog from Bakersfield, contact me first. I do not want to share horror stories (I don't have the time or energy), I simply want to steer people away and let them know this breeder is a puppy mill.

Todd, it was a pleasure speaking with you on the phone. You have my full support and I will do everything I can to help you put this lady out of business.

Re: second hand

I think you will get some replies, but please send them in private email in detail. I mean you can post something here if you like but getting into details send him a requested email. I know who your talking about and have had compliants on them. Cutting tails on a bulldog is never done by an ethical breeder, bulldogs dont have any cosmetic surgery like tails cropped and ears docked like some breeds do. Breeding at 6 months is outrageous to say the least. I did get a private email from this person and there is a lot more to the story than even he said here, so if any of you ( and I know there is some on this board that have had dealings with this breeder, then help the man out and email your story to him) Some of the complaints I have on file come from you guys right here. Good luck with your bulldog!

second hand

I don;t know how many bulldog breeders there are in Bakersfield... but I ran into a lady w/ a bullie at the dog park who bought her's from a breeder in Bakersfield. Apparently the breeder got the pup from Russia or Hungary. When the lady got the bullie pup he almost died from parvo (had to have an iv etc), apparently the majority of the litter died from it. I think when I met her the pup was no more than 6 months old and it had already had one cherry eye operation and was going to have to have another. When she told me all this it made me nervous that I did not know a whole lot about the breeder we purchased our bullie from since it was out of state. Fingers crossed all is wondeful with ours. However, I have met other bullie owners who had to be interviewed by the breeder, trained basic bullie care beofre they would agree to sell the pup. That seems a little drastic but i know understand when you love oen bullie you can;t help but think they are all wonderful and you want to make sure they have the best care possible.
