Stridex for nose folds...

Stridex max in the red box, not green, seems to be working better than the Malaseb pledgets on Roxy's nose rope. I wipe with the Stridex pad and then dry with a cotton round. She's not rubbing or lapping at her nose like she did after using the pledgets.

Not at Target or WalMart. I found it at Walgreen's. Only $4.50!

Corn Starch

I was told to use corn starch in the folds. Is Gold Bond Powder that much better to justify the cost?

Thanks for the tip!

Maybe Cain will like that better....he hates Malaseb!

you can get a bottle of

Witch hazel for 99 cents. It's what is in stridex. Both work great just cheaper

I use a little sringe got for the vet's to put the powder in the

I use a small blush brush to apply powder to her tail swirl..

wonder if the Stridex will be good for the tail too. Hmmm.

I haven't used the powder on her nose rope in a while, but I've got it here! I like the Gold Bond Baby powder. Have you tried it? It's hard to find, but it smells better.

make sure it's the red box and not the green..

long time bulldogger turned me onto this. I didn't think it worked at first, but after a couple of days, Roxy's nose rope is dry, clean and the fur is fluffy. No irritation at all.

You can finish that treatment up with Gold Bond powder put in a

ketchup container with the pointed end. All you have to do is guide it along the indentation and it will go right into the wrinkles and folds without needing to be rubbed in. It increases the drying powers of the stridex and helps keep the area dry. Really works for me.

Thanks Elaine for sharing

Iknow everyone is looking for Malaseb replacements. We will give stridex a try.
