Hey, look what I found..
this link has some good hints. I might go to Wm Sonoma and buy the Revere polish. Sounds promising.

I don't know. .
Careful, you could end up with it looking worse. I just got over it. I have a few more scratches on it now. One of these days I'll call the refinish guy and have the stove top and the sink polished.

I'll look for the refinish guy's card. Maybe you could call him and ask him how to do it. He may share how to do it if you are too far from him for the job.

Re: steel wool comes in very fine gauge..
Elaine I know what you mean it was my cleaning lady too... I figured they know what to do and when I came home last night I noticed it so it is fresh in my mind... So should I rub gently against the grain since she scratched up and down and swirls.. How do you do it??
steel wool comes in very fine gauge..
try 0000 and then 000 and then 00. That should take it out. Or be like me and get over it.

My cleaning lady has scratched mine in several spots. I'm over worrying about it.

I keep trying to google.
I bet you could use 0000 steel wool
when we bought our house, which was a model home, some guy came and refinished our stainless steel sink. He made it look brand new! I don't know what he did, but I bet you can find someone who refinishes stainless steel in your area.

thanks just tried no luck ugh....
Re: stainless steel
If the scratches are really shallow, you can rub olive oil into the scratched area and buff with a soft cloth.
