I asked my daughter if she would take a pic while I stacked the dogs. Well, the look she gave me was priceless. She literally thought I was going to put the dogs on top of one another. Great pic, Ce!!
I started mine w/ wobbley table @ younger age ( grooming table ) i did made it uneven so everytime the puppy moves it will shake and i did this trick twice a day , until the puppy get's hint. I like everybody's advises and i will try them too !! Goodluck
this is what I do. I stand over Deisel and grab high up on the leg near the elbow and place his feet. If you try to place the front feet near the paw a natural reaction for the dog is to pull its paw away. For the back feet grab the hock and place in position. When he moves I just say no and re position him. While I am doing this I say "let's work!" If the dog holds the position for 3 seconds I get all excited and we play wrestle and roll around on the floor for a few minutes. Then we repeat. I do this about three time per session about three sessions per day. I had difficulty with free stacking so what I did is used a clicker. When he was standing in the right position I clicked and then gave him a treat. Now all I say is Diesel want to work?! and he positions himself in front of me and doesn't move a muscle. The best part is he loves it!
Have her stand on bricks. Place them where you want them & put her feet on them. She'll be a little frightened at first & will probably stand still. Then once she gets used to it she'll be a pro at stacking all by herself.
Don't forget that most judges judge dogs on a ramp now. You should also get her used to walking up the ramp.
Place her feet where you want them, tell her to stand. When she does give her attention of a piece of kibble. If she moves her feet tell her no and put it back and tell her to stand again. Keep doing it. Also keep calm and make it fun, if she is not having fun it will show in the ring.
Get a special toy, when she stands even for 1-2 min or 30 seconds to start give her the toy for a few seconds and tell her she was good. Do it a few times a day for a week or so and see how she does, each time do it a little longer.
Reminds me of the day I wanted photos....

Kind of new to this but...

How long should a training session last
Every time I offer her a treat for standing she gets all excited and it is hard to get her to stand again.
keep it up

good luck,
Vicky
Then dont use food
Get a special toy, when she stands even for 1-2 min or 30 seconds to start give her the toy for a few seconds and tell her she was good. Do it a few times a day for a week or so and see how she does, each time do it a little longer.
