Some pictures of Las Vegas from Margaret
Submitted by Anonymous on April 20, 2010 - 5:27pmHere are some beautiful enticing pictures Margaret sent me from their trip out here a couple months ago. For those of you planning on making it here in Oct., this is some of the sites you can see

Now for those that want to see something other that bright lights, just a 15 mile drive from the Strip will take you to beautiful Red Rock Canyon
And once you are in the canyon one of the places you can stop at is the Spring Mountain Ranch, which 90 years ago was a real working ranch. Then it was privately owned over the years by people including Vera Krupp (remember the Krupp diamond Richard bought Liz?) then Howard Hughes. Keep in mind, this is about 15 miles from Las Vegas Strip.

Those are great pictures! If I were to visit Vegas, I think I would be much more interested in the scenery outside of town than I would be in the lights and night life in town.

Yes, but I should have cut my bangs before I went.
When they stretched out,they were way long. I never even thought about it before I went.
Now I have very curly hair and that is one reason I love Vegas

Of course, I'd prefer to edit myself out of this picture...lol.. But here is Margaret, Fluff and me in my front yard.
I was amazed at the natural beauty
of the land out in Nevada. It was different than I expected. If I had had more time, I would have tried to go to the Grand Canyon which is a day trip from Las Vegas. My hubby wants to go to the Hoover Dam which is very close. It was dry. I would need double moisturizer, double lotion, and double conditioner if I was there for very long. Another hint. Get your hair cut before you come if you have any wave. I rely on the curl in my hair to let me go a long time between cuts. It won't work there, though, because the humidity is so low. Your hair lengthens and you look like you really, really need a cut. LOL!
Lot of new things
If you haven't been here in six years, then you need to come again. Always something new, several new hotels since you were here.
