sleeping and watching... pix

here is Bella sleeping with one of the boys in her life.

She has started nesting and going in to labor today. She now understands she is a mommy and is cleaning the babies. When i put them away she sits and looks at them, if they cry she starts crying.

I just meant in terms of labor pains.

I know humans can think. Heck, they've known they've been carrying a baby for 9 months and planned out a nursery and had a shower and read all the books... Hee hee.

A beautiful picture Vic! Thanks

As a human you have the mental capacity to determine through a t

a dog can only go on how they feel, they don't really realize they had a C-Section

a man's 2 cents......

"The more I know people, the more I love my bulldogs."

No, I had 2 c-secs

I never even had labor, but the hormones were definately there.

She looks like a good mommy.

What a sweetheart. She is so special.

i sleep in the room with her and them on a daybed.

she sleeps in the perla bed and the puppies are next to her, the lid is on top so no drafts. I get them in and out for her. Im getting up about every 3 hours, and they wake me up.

I dont know if humas have labor after a c-section, i do know they have bleeding. So do dogs, it is a little more messy then a heat cycle.

Wow

Oh Vicky, awesome shots - that just brought a smile to my face, especially how you commented that she cries when ever she hears her babies cry - unreal!

Thats it Gerties going to have babies. Watch out Milo LOL!

OMG that is priceless!!!!!!!!

Cute Pics!!!!!

I KNOW! I'm horribly dehydrated!!!!! =)

And yet, they all think I'm nuts for treating Grover like my child.

Julia

7!

Whatever you do, DO NOT DRINK THE WATER!...LOL

Out of curiosity, since I have no kids...

Does that happen with humans too? Not the "what the heck are these monsters?" part ( ), but the still having to go into labor part?

Forgive my complete ignorance... I know nothing about pregnancy or babies, but I've got 7 women in my life who are pregnant! I learn something new every minute!

Julia

How sweet !

Since they are kept seperate does she try to pick them up and bring them to her. You must have to keep a constant watch on them, what do you at night.
Sorry so may ???

I didn't know that!

That is truly amazing! Congrats on the beautiful babies!

Oh so precious

there is nothing in the world like a puppy.

Awww... what a good mommy you are Bella!

Cute baby!

ickytazz's picture

you are right

Since she did not go in labor she was not sure what the monsters were. The hormones dont change when they do a section, so her body is telling her its time to have puppies. So she is doing what she would do to have them. :D

They sure are cute to snuggle, except for the pee and poo.

How adorable

How cute is that first pic. What she must be dreaming about.

what do you mean by she's going into labor?

is that b/c since she had a c-section she has to go thru a falso labor process so she can feel like a real momma?

i don't know if i get that or not!

BTW, i'd like to be cuddled up to those pups too! You and her are lucky!

Emily

Thank you for sharing those wonderful pics....nm
