shampoo??????

anyone know differences between using oatmeal based or coconut based shampoos? can you use both if you use fronline? only oatmeal?

just curious....

Is that because the detergent is harsher and will cut through the oil? Unfortunately many groomers use Dawn on oily coated dogs who get cuts....I am no expert and I am interested in learning why you say this, thanks!

When using Frontline, make sure shampoo is non-detergent...

.

Frontline

I worked in grooming for a little while...It doesn't matter what you use with Frontline. I would just NOT bathe the dog a few days after applying it because is gets into the skin layers. FYI - Frontline has been tested to be "not toxic" for up to 10x the dosage of what is recommended. I am telling you this because sometimes if a dog is like 5lbs within the next weight class people worry that the dog will get too much. Where I worked, people have screwed up and given bichons a dose for a st. bernard....! The owner had to actually call Frontline to make sure they wouldn't be sued!

Coconut vs oatmeal.... I like them both. Tropiclean makes an oatmeal teatree that I really like. Lindsay sells a coconut that I like too. If you deal with dry, itchy skin - I think the oatmeal would be better. But I love the smell of the coconut. Makes me think I am on a sunny, sandy island for a few minutes!
